Geez I hope we have current junior NZ touch football players interested in a career in Rugby League. Namely a Warriors half back position. Bcause once Johnson retires, our stocks & depth in the Half Back & Five Eigth positions, in NZ with Rugby League is pretty shallow.
Whereas Australia can pump out Alan Langer, Johnathon Thurstons & Anothony Mininchello's on a conveyor belt, just like NZ can pump out Tana Umaga's, Dan Carters & Richie McCaws on a conveyor belt. NZ just doesn't have that freedom in our recruitment ranks. I hope Johnson won't be the only half back & Five eigth prodigy to come out of NZ.
It would really help the Warriors stay in the competition to be able to produce marquee players in important positions.
