My first post disappeared, so I will try again. Use a 21700 cell, use a 21700 to 26650 sleeve and two o-rings on the outside of that sleeve 32mm OD x 25mm ID 3.5mm thick.
Just one more thing when you use a Molicel P45B, it really allows the IF30 to shine...and one more big thing, it reduces the weight substancially. In some circles the IF30 doesnt get alot of love, but I think its an excellent light.
i think the stock sofirn battery (26650 5500mAh) that came with the torch can only provide 9amps of cdr (continuous discharge rate), whilst the torch requires 35amps of cdr on turbo. this means running this torch on turbo will get the battery really hot quickly as well as destroy the battery sooner than expected and make it gradually lose its ability to hold charge. that is, the stock sofirn battery that came with this torch wasn't meant to be used with this powerful torch. better to use a molicel 21700 P42A 4200mAh 45A battery, even though it's 1000+ mah less
I sucked with rotary switch. First it was not working properly. When cold you will always push too hard to switch off it’s junk. I returned it back after first day of launching(
I have found that if you rotate it very quickly, the response can be a little less than stellar, but to do what yours did, it sounds like a warranty claim may be in order.
@@torchesandtactical Yep. The faster you rotate the dial the slower it works the slower it rotates the faster it goes up I'm definitely use to it. I really thought they designed that purposely so people don't wind it from a low setting to very high outputs accidently plus double tap and it goes to the highest output. Mine works great for me.

Outstanding information.
Appreciate your review but would be nice to know how long these flash lights can maintain high or turbo mode before they step down to lower output.
Will it get hotter and hotter when continuously turn on for 1-2 hours in low light mode?
I love mine i own a Maurader mini and i grab the if30 with a samsung 40t in it almost always.
What do you use as a spacer for the 40T?

Hello. I have a Sofirn IF30. I like it very much, it's just a shame that it drains the batteries soon..
This puts out quite a bit of light, and unfortunately, it does have to have quite a large power draw to achieve this.
What about the battery? Where can I find a spare one. Not even on sofirn website
I could have sworn I remembered seeing them on AliExpress for a while, but now I can't find them anywhere. Maybe get a hold of Sofirn direct?
