Sofirn IF30 adopted the unique rotary knob design, a simple rotary switch to select spot and flood mode. With 1*SFT40 + 12 * TN-3535 LEDs surrounding the main light, the IF30 delivers an impressive 12000 lumens output for the flood beam and 2500 lumens for the center LED. I own many SOFIRN and WURKKOS flashlights, so we bought 2 of the IF30s. It is an awesome light. BUT, the dial switch on mine is stiff, it can take 5 to 10 seconds to unlock. I have carpal tunnel in my wrist and thumb making it very difficult to use the rotary encoding switch. I wish the lockout feature could be defeated or overridden. I need to make several attempts to unlock, as much as 10, if my hands are cold or wet, forget it if I'm wearing gloves, otherwise it's great. Is there a way to fix this? SOFIRN PLEASE HELP!

Dear friends, unfortunately, the locking function cannot be canceled at present, because the lumen of IF30 is higher, and for safety reasons, we have set the locking function. Maybe we can be more flexible with the locking function. Regarding the problem of difficulty in unlocking, we are currently unable to give you a better solution. Quickly rotate clockwise or counterclockwise 60 degrees to unlock. You can try clockwise or counterclockwise whichever is easier to unlock.

This flashlight is mainly stepless dimming. It can clearly divide the lowest and highest gears. The lowest is 10 lumens, and it will basically not get hot if it is turned on for one to two hours at the lowest gear. If the gear is turned on at a higher level, such as 500 lumens, it will definitely get hot, but our flashlight has a temperature control function.

I’m curious since it has a removable body, if you can purchase more of the batteries to put 2 or 3 inline to boost the battery life?
This is not recommended. Because the product's driver is customized based on one battery, multiple battery packs may cause bad results in various programs in the flashlight.
