NEW EARLY CHANGE | UNŌ Now Runs Route 298 (Scanias, E40Ds, E40Hs & MMCs) TfL London Bus Changes

On the 3rd of August 2024, Sullivan Buses withdrew from TfL services. They no longer run routes 217, 298, 299, 327, 389, 399, 549, 605, 606, 617, 629 and W9. Route 298 has passed to Uno early. The route was meant to pass to them using diesel double deckers in February 2025. Since passing to Uno, route 298 has used several buses. Including ex RATP Scania Omnicities, An Enviro 200 (C17UNO, the oldest bus in TfL service), Ex RATP and Metroline Enviro 400s, An Enviro 400 MMC hybrid, And an ex Tower Transit Enviro 400 Hybrid.
Route 298 runs from Potters Bar Station, To Arnos Grove Station. Via Hadley Wood, Cockfosters Station, Southgate Station, And New Southgate. As this change was planned at short notice, Buses don't have blinds. None of the ex Sullivan routes are tracking on iBus. No fares are being taken on route 298.
Route 298 ran from South Mimms (SM) garage under Sullivan Buses. The route used Enviro 200s, Enviro 400s and Scania Omnicities.
Route 298 is 8 miles (13 km) long. Route 298 runs daily. The route normally runs every 20 to 30 minutes. However, an emergency reduced timetable is in operation (this can be found on the Uno website). A full journey on route 298 takes around 29 to 47 minutes. Route 298 commenced operation on 7 September 1968.
