The kart seemed to have the Porsche in his pocket on the tight turns & fast turns... The Porsche caught-up on the straits, by maybe a 30 mph advantage... The kart had the advantage of light weight and crisp handling because of the absence of a suspension system, other than frame flex...The kart also seemed to have an advantage with forward acceleration through the turns, over the Porsche... Very cool video !!!
Hi Liew, I total agree with you was in need of different gear setup. I been driving Superkart for over 20 year and it's fast and fun. You have also to learn to do all the mechanical work by your self too.

2:29 was the decisive move, he was gone at that point, race over. But then he felt sorry for the Porsche GT and pulled over at 2:50 and let him back by. If he kept pushing on the difficult downhill section he would have built the cushion to take him easy even with the forklift gearing. It just would have made the video less interesting.
Hardly, the Porsche was not even trying and the kart would have a max speed of about 250.The only place the kart would have a change is in some of the tight corners but the long straits on that track the Porsche would eat it.

Quite the racing value, the 250 kart gets killed on the top end but out corners the 911, on a tighter track without long straights it could be very interesting
Thanks for the comment. Yeah go kart is too fast in corners sectors and more slow in long accelerations phases. But it's really so cool to drive in the rear front of car with a go kart :)
i live in west virginia. if you fit lights, turn signals and safety gear you can license those for street legal use. ya just cant take them on the interstate, everywhere else just fine!

This was computer-generated. In 1970 I watch The a Grudge race between an endurance Kart and a race kitted Corvette. On the big track at Willow Springs raceway . It took three lapes for the Kart to find a safe way around the Vet, once he got past him it was no contest , the cart put a lap on the Corvette very quickly.
Q: So why did the kart give it back after the first pass? = No camera in the front of the Car. The kart would just leave the Porsche in the tighter stuff and make for boring footage. This is despite the kart not being able to touch the curbs like the car. 250cc superkart, maybe $20k vs blah blah blah porsche maybe $150k? I raced karts, its absolutely awesome fun and super competitive, you have to be very good to win at a national level, very good.
So the big question... if the porsche and kart race separately so they aren't in each others way.. what would the fastest times be ? How close or far are they apart on time? I can't help but, to think... the kart is faster because of corners.

At Cadwell Park, which suits karts, superkarts hold or are within 0.1s of the outright lap record. At Silverstone, which does not suit karts, they do about the same laptimes as superbikes. At Donington the GT3 lap record I could find on the Internet is 1:32, but the superkart lap record is 1:25. As an ex driver, I think most of the Nurburgring would suit a kart, except for being bumpy (no suspension!) So I think that if you scale up the 7 second advantage around Donington, you would have about a 45 sec advantage to the kart. Certainly when I have raced at the same meetings as GT3 in the past at circuits around the UK, we have been 2-5 secs/mile quicker.
That kart was all over that Porche. The driver of the Porche made it clear he wasn't going to let the kart buy and made it very dangerous for the kart to get past. I think the kart proved which was faster. Besides, a $20k kart versus a $230,000. Porche...you be the judge.
You do know that a real suoerkart (not a video game) will destroy every fiber muscle in your body and after 5 corner your neck will be finish. Only veteran driver can push these machine to the limit. So in real life , a skilled driver in a GT would not be able to drive the super kart, but the reverse is possible.

Plus the Skilled GT drivers you are talking about also would have started in karts when they were younger and are used to this kind of feeling in the neck and also train those muscles regardless of what car you/they are driving in any form of motosport. knob.
The way the kart sounds it seems it still has reserved power. Maybe it should use bigger rear tires or if it's a chain drive use a sprocket two to three teeth smaller. BUT NICE CGI THOUGH HAHAHA 😂
Very good graphics.. sadly not the real thing. When the kart is flat out down one of the straights he's backing off the throttle 😅. Also the kart would be jumping about .too smooth.. 😂 good effort though...

up to about 100mph, the 250 will smoke anything, even a GP bike. above about 135, cars will just smoke by it,..unfortunately.
