    This looks nice, but do these parts actually fold out by themselves, or does the owner need to manually position them? If not the latter, I imagine levers and motors are needed. But I don't see any.

    • @kv3g
      @kv3g Před 6 lety +1

      It wouldn't matter. The entire idea is to build something "mobile" to avoid property taxes, but then live in it permanently. You unfold it once every ten years if even then.

    • @mjkelly75
      @mjkelly75 Před 6 lety

      The first video I saw was on LinkedIn, and it showed that they unfold themselves, and that all you need is a screwdriver. The video I watched of a working prototype looked like you might need a socket wrench. For me these look really great. The main question is can they make them practical? Subsequently, by that I mean, can they first be price competitive? Too high of a price point, and it's not going to take off. Second, are they nature resistant? To wind, rain, snow, snow melt? Resistant to pests? Insects, arachnids, vermin? Third, maintenance. What can be expected after 10, 15 , 20 years? Heavy rusting? Will you be able to fold it up and move it after decade or two of weather? Lubricants, seal and gasket replacement? Ease / cost? At the right price point, this can be a game changer. If so, there could be long term consequences in regards to traditional construction jobs. Innovation often comes with that warning though. Overall it looks very encouraging. I'd buy a second generation one when ready (and if the price is right), just for in-law housing or even a second home / weekend cabin.

    • @Chimonger1
      @Chimonger1 Před 6 lety

      Johann Rosario , In a rainforest? Best make good and sure all those seams where it folds, are absolutely weather-tight! ANY minute seam not sealed for optimal water shedding, is a liability.
      Models with butterfly roofs?...Just say no, if site is in a rainy or heavily showy climate!
      If the rain doesn't get in?...Bueno; but there's other things that can push their way in...like rogue blackberry vines weasle their way into any potential crack...almost as bad as how ivy can get into stone bldgs...it's amazing how they manage to get into some things...that's our experience anyway!

      We’re offering 1378 sq feet of living space insulated with a doom roof to cut down on rolling in high winds with windmills for power, electric outlets and condenser plumbing hookups for easy use all mine will be bungalow with no chance of going higher and minimum transportation movability after its put down. Everything in the unit utilizing electricity floor radiated heat utilizing the condenser and heater cores for even heat distribution throughout the house according to thermostat. You can rent this out once you have completed your dream home or cottage. Cost will be $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 US pending on options. Will come with all appliances, electric hookups along with full plumbing and hookups. Unlike what you see here you’ll will have to order your own and because you can design your own get away, business or rebuild home at a fraction of the cost it will take up 10 weeks to receive yours. Who is interested please let us know? Once you order the unit will require half and the other half on your approval of installation. Everything will be tested and pass before sending the units and will be tested on site for your approval unless you do not have the necessary hookups installed on your property in question at the time of install. Living quarters for workers is ideal, or living, cottage, get away home choice is yours; I can’t wait to hear from you. ewsmajor@gamil.com Wil
      Unfortunate because of city regulations these won't pass urban areas, because permits, onsite inspections for every step of the process, plumbing, electrical, wall foundation, proper bracketing on truss, wall formations plumbing, plans need given to the cities for approval civil engineering construction. Ideal these are for small towns with limited restrictions, lake lots, forestry workers, miners, camp installation for a lot of workers or office space with road access. I'm looking for anyone interested in purchasing one of these homes and pass on the information who might be interested in saving time and money.
      We're hopping to have them on display in stages to show you the process but have to know if there is any interest in this before going into full production? Why do we need to know about the layout okay what if your property has trees would you like your kitchen facing the trees? What about your bedroom facing the street or lanes only you know how you want this to laid out for you therefore we get you to build your own, and you would have to build concrete structure or cement pontoons for support anyhow will take 30 - 45 days to set properly anyhow. Approximately 8 - 9 hours to setup run the testes and this would be your new home cottage or what ever you desire.
