Hi and thanks for a good video. However, there are no questions being answered specifically to this one: does the restore put all my apps back in the same order on all screens once completed?
Daniel thanks for the amazing video! I do have a question. So I’m trying to do a factory reset because I’ve been having some weird activity. I want to make sure my settings go back to default after backup. On “apps using iCloud” there is no setting option to turn it on or off. Apple support hasn’t been much help so I’d appreciate your advice thank you in advance 🙏🏽

Thank you so much this is actually the first video that is actually helpful, i reseted my iphone a couple days and couldnt log in because it sent a code to a phone number i didnt have access too and i was worried about my wallpaper and apps being gone but thanks to you, you gave me hope. Im curious tho if when i get my apps back i have to log in my accs that i had in there? Im also waiting for apple to contact me in 2 days because i cant log into my icloud apple id due to the fact that the code sends to my old phone number. Hopefully i get it back, ill update my comment in 2 days (if i ever remember).

Do you know if you restore from iCloud backup if apps previously grouped are placed back in groups or are all the apps just reinstalled but not grouped?

Awesome thanks, I have a quick question, My iPhone was stolen last week and right before I made a Back up through iTunes but had it stored to an external hard drive, My new iPhone has half the space the old one did and I already have it set up but would like to know if it is possible to some get the photos at least from that older stored data base with out having to restore my new iPhone from the older data base? Firstly because not everything I had there will even fit in my new phone, but also I do not want everything that was on the older iPhone, just want to try and save the pictures if that makes sense, I tried digging into the date base but all the files have a weird extension only and cannot be reviewed ... Thanks I would appreciate it if there is anyway to do that...
Theoretically could you use an older backup from another phone if needed?

I tried this just now, I have around 11,000 files/photos, it started off OK, downloaded 240 images, but then unexpectedly quick, when I reopen the append hit transfer all again it seems to just get stuck downloading and never advances? iPhone 14 max pro and Ventura M2 Studio Max here...Thanks, I also noticed when I plugged my phone in and put trusted, My Computer popped a window saying I need to update software requirement to be able to connect to my iPhone? i did not have icloud plus and my last backup was done in april so the photos i took after that were not saved and i factory reset my iphone in july and all the photos were gone is there any way i can get back my photos its urgent

Just reset all settings ur password will remove automatically and now u can set new pass to ur backup

My wife's phone was at the maximum for iCloud before paying for more storage. I used Y-Disk and got all the contacts, Video and pictures. New replacement iPhone 13 and Y-Disk detects it as a phone never backed up and no restore option. Only option I could figure out is selecting files on Y-Disk and copy to phone.

I'm in the middle of Retore and it sticks on "Uploading Data to iCloud" stays on 1 minute for 10+ minutes. went back and redid the steps and it stops again at ! minute. HELP!

If you have enough storage on iCloud it will show a backup screen and give you the option to skip or let it save.

You unfortunately can’t restore it. Sorry. It’s happened to me before so I’d highly recommend you to remember to backup your iCloud before you actually factory reset it.
