      Was there any issue with the disk caliper rubbing on the Flux housing? I have a Neo Gen 1 so I hope my conversion goes as smoothly as yours did

    Great video! I have just bought my second Canyon this year (this time Aero) and my new Tacx Neo to train in doors over winter. And thanks to you I know how to set it up now! Thanks :)

    Mahalo! Thanks for this video. Have same issue with new Tracx Flux S. Took a lot of research to find this solution. Much appreciated.

    Very good video..... only misses a part about the brakedisc spacer in the brakecaliper. But i liked the video, and the information was good! 💪👍

    I have a pinerello dogma and I’m struggling to work out what adaptors to use?
    Any suggestions

    Gracias, excelente explicación al problema que tenia,, ahora a esperar que me lleguen los adaptadores,, se agradece...

  • @bjornchristophhaack2705

    Thx for your video. Not sure if the Neo will fit my cyclocross bike with its 135mm rear axle with disc brakes anyway, but nice video.
    Like the 'La Machine' Cycle Cap.

    Does the drive side screw and clamp against the painted part of the frame? If yes, that seems concerning…

    Hello, i have a question. Is the thru axel adapter the model T2835?, the link in garmin is not working and I do need the same adapter you show . Thanks 🙏

  • @nickarls
    @nickarls Před 3 lety +1

    Thanks for the great video! I got my bike attached and it feels solid. The only thing I'm wondering about is if that nothing actually screws into the threads on the frame (where the thru-axle attaches) and the plug only threads onto the adapter pin, won't the weight rest on the threads in the frame, possibly damaging them?

    • @zwiftcyklist
      @zwiftcyklist  Před 3 lety

      I tought about that same issue as well but up till now I’m having to trouble at all. I check the tread and bushes regularly and all seems okay

    • @nickarls
      @nickarls Před 3 lety

      velofiel yes, I actually called Tacx support and they confirmed it should be like that and they haven't received any reports about damaged threads.
      I guess the threads are non-standard anyway and if it comes to the worst, the threads can be replaced with a new derailleur hanger

    I just bought a cervelo s3 with disc brakes and the axle is a bit different from the one on your video, its called RAT (Rapid Axle Technology). The cassette side of the bike is very different, and you cant fit any of the pieces of the Tacx axle... do you happen to know what type of axle or pieces should I buy? Btw, great video!!

  • @aliancemd
    @aliancemd Před 3 lety

    I was not sure that I can remove the cap because it has that sticky tape which will probably attach harder back on. Thanks

    • @zwiftcyklist
      @zwiftcyklist  Před 3 lety

      You're very welcome! Attaching it back on is a pain in the **s, if I switch between zwifting and riding outside I put a piece of handlebar tape over the hole. In the spring I'll use some glue to stick it back on.

    • @aliancemd
      @aliancemd Před 3 lety

      @@zwiftcyklist A few minutes later I actually found that you can use the original(without removing the cap) when using those bigger adapters: 12x142 NDS + 12 DS.

    Hi, thanks for the video
    I’ve just got my Flux and I too have a bolt through axle with disc breaks. The flux came with the correct adapter (12x142). But the provided skewer does not fit. My skewer from the bike does however. Any advice

  • @SlicedSlappy
    @SlicedSlappy Před 3 lety

    Can you explain why I need this adaptor? I’m also running a 142 x 12 thru. I’m able to mount the bike to the flux s without the adapter but it does seem to vibrate. Can you help explain this? I’ve ordered the adaptor but can’t find a mathematical reason why I need to?

    • @zwiftcyklist
      @zwiftcyklist  Před 3 lety

      It’s because of the axle, the quickrelease axle is a lot thinner

  • @Daniel-ib4tu
    @Daniel-ib4tu Před 3 lety

    It is possible to use two 12mm adapters each side and use the axle that I have in my bike? Or I have to use tacx axle?

  • @Daniel-ib4tu
    @Daniel-ib4tu Před 3 lety

    I wait my tacx flux s this yesterday, if it is come with 12mm adapter I do not need to bought this tacx axle? Or it is better?

    • @zwiftcyklist
      @zwiftcyklist  Před 3 lety

      You can use your own axle as long as there is no play between the axle and the bushes.

    • @migzconcha4152
      @migzconcha4152 Před 3 lety

      @@jimkleijnen332 yeah bro, tacx flux s from late 2019 to current does come with the adapter that is needed for a disc bike...the old model tacx flux doesn't..did not know it at 1st as i bought the trainer from my friend and he forgot to tell me that its does come with some adapters as he set it aside because he had a rim brake bike..so if u have the just the tacx flux then u need those adapters shown in the video, if ur tacx flux s didn't come with the adapter then u need to buy it directly with tacx or garmin..
