'Baapu' is a critically acclaimed story written by Prem Parkash. It lays emphasis on the fluctuations that happen in the roles of family members when 'marriages' extend the families and gives birth to new relations.
Parents are supposed to share 'their brought up' with 'a girl' whom he gets married. Sometimes adjustments are done and sometimes things just don't work and ultimately fractures the unit of family.
This story is about a person who finds himself in situation where he is supposed to balance between his wife and his father. The father of the boy blames his 'daughter in law' for the issues that have emerged in the family after their marriage.
Things turn upside down as the story unfolds and mirrors the bitterness which yet emerges from nowhere but still venoms the very institution of society.
