US superstar Lady Gaga kept her eyes shut the whole time during a press conference in Japan. ( SAT,June 25)
The singer made a point of her love for Japan and Tokyo before her performance at the MTV Video Music Aid Awards in Japan.
"You look so beautiful"she exclaimed blindly gazing at the gathered press.
"I would say to all of you a huge thank you, a giant I love you." the singer said "I didn't come from very much. I had to struggle and fight to become the woman that I am today and to become the artist that I am today.To be able to connect with people all over the world, I had to fight for my identity, and fight for my dream. The charity event will be hosted by Japanese pop sensation AKB48 and will feature live performances from international, regional and Japanese artists, the staging of MTV VIDEO MUSIC AID JAPAN will be the culmination of MTV Japan's MUSIC OF HOPE campaign.
Lady Gaga, along with other artists helped raise money to support earthquake relief in Japan in March 2011 and donated $1.5 million of her own money. The profits from this event will benefit the Japanese Red Cross .
Lady Gaga will move on to Taiwan on July 1.
