i LOVED this show...it gives a little bit of the ridiculousness of the original, but a way better and more cohesive plot, and the whole cast is very talented and their characters are pretty well rounded. I also like the more mature themes, the swearing, and the fact that a lot of the scenes are genuinely really terrifying. not that there weren't problems/ things i didnt like, but id give it a 9/10, a solid start for the first season

I actually was very impressed with the ending. Super high budget, although a bit generic and stale (like, seriously, her dad and her brother?), overall it was 8/10. I suspected that Chip was the duo’s rapist and it was such a satisfying ending when Tabby and Imogen bravely confronted him. Hopefully Archie takes him out. I mean, it sure looked like it in the end of episode 10!
Chip was so obvious, it kind of took away the shock value of the reveal :/

I was so happy when all theories came true! Satisfied. Because, honestly, the writers' determination to outamart audience in the OG was annoying and really ruined the show.
I love they added in Easter eggs from the original and other horror movies I loved the original PLL my friend got me more into the show the original

something that is not very clear to me, is because the principal and archie waited 23 years to take revenge on the mothers, they could have done it since angela committed suicide.

A lot of people noticed the present day janitor is named Jason, but the janitor from 1999 was named Freddy! He briefly appeared in the flashback catching Marjorie and Angela smoking.

I felt like this🅰️wasn’t as scary as in they weren’t always lurking & wasn’t always sending threatening texts. I didn’t feel🅰️s presence as much like I did in the original. 🅰️wasn’t seen but was ALWAYS sending texts. The liar’s couldn’t make a move without🅰️making a comment on it. This one they said “🅰️s back” like 3 times instead of🅰️being a constant threat or always sending texts. We got see actually see🅰️more this time but without a face reveal of someone who we already knew it was lacking…
I see what you mean. There were def a bunch of times they thought it was over when it wasn’t. A could’ve been more consistent.

dont hate me...but i actually liked the wes/tabby plotline. NOT their relationship but the way the show delt with it wayyyy better then the original pll. really showing how creepy it was and not romanticizing it or making excuses about it. I also liked that wes wasnt the rapist because it was a little less obvious and expected while also giving the chance to dive into chips character more rather then him just playing the 'nice guy'.
I see what you mean. Making it clear that dynamic wasn’t okay and also subverting expectations.
The series was good I liked it I love the 5 girls I liked how they tried to tell stories teens go through ( getting assaulted teen pregnancy being apart of the lgbt community etc etc there some things that wish got answered but I loved it

Someone on twitter found a screenshot, that A. Waters was found in original show, it was just a name it Spencer's email, so it could be just a easter egg from og.
I just really don't get why Imogen's baby was adopted by Aria and Ezra since they pointed out the grooming, maybe they'll adress it next season and Imogen will decide for another adoptive paretns? It's just doesn't feel right.
