Arteta has shown that a talented manager needs time to implement his ideas, sign his own players and build a rapport with his team. Give him time.
That’s my hope. I really hope teams like Chelsea look at Arteta and give managers like Potter a couple years so we can laugh a little longer..not everyone is Arteta.

This is the same team and the same Manager, which have won four games in the row in the Champions League and became group leaders from being bottom in the group after two games. This game today and this Premier League season would have been the same with Thomas Tuchel, too. Chelsea have been like this in the Premier League since 2015. Nothing new. Chelsea had games and defeats like this with Thomas Tuchel, Sarri, Lampard, Conte, Hiddink and Jose Mourinho (2015), too.
Love Potter's calm and honest attitude, he sees things clearly (the two teams are indeed in very different phases) and he doesn't let the outside noise get to him, he already knows what to do.

Every Chelsea fan seeing the lineup knew that at best we will leave this game with 1 point expect for Potter. Under Tuchel Chelsea was dominating but under Potter we cannot even possess the ball for 5 minutes. Leaving out Koulibaly Zakaria and Kovacic? Playing RLC again and Cucurella by far the two worst Chelsea players this season. Tuchel was a man who could not accept losing and was always fighting for trophy but Potter is an average English player inflated by English media who is clueless, hence playing FIFA every single freaking game and changing so many players. Potter's mindset is still Brighton, hence playing such a defensive game at home against Arsenal. Even against City Tuchel's team didn't play like this. We were 2-0 down against Liverpool last season and we ended up 2-2. Today another 90 minutes would have not brought any goal. Sacking a world class manager and bringing in an average by media inflated English coach one should be fool to expect any other result.

Potter assessment of the game and Arsenal matches how I feel about it, so I don’t mind his comments, which have annoyed many fans: there’s a vitriolic response from so many in the comments. I certainly don’t agree with all of Potter’s decisions, but, I do understand that he has many injuries in his squad and he’s worried about protecting players like Kova who recently was dealing with muscle strains. Not sure why Chelsea has had so many injuries to important players, but it makes it really hard to field a squad that has players deployed in positions that suit them best. It also affects tactics. Arsenal is simply a better team right now, a better collective, humming along like a well- tuned machine. Fans aren’t going to be “nice” while Chelsea’s woes get sorted out. More disappointing results will come before Chelsea regains top level status. I’m prepared to see the disappointments but hope to see resilience and signs of progress over the long stretch. I anticipate that it will take time to become a consistent top level performer. Meanwhile, I’ll grumble about player selection, or system, but won’t get too dramatic - it’s a process.

When Arteta was first offered the Arsenal job he declined and humbly stated that he was not at the required level. Few months later when he had learned a lot more being Pep’s understudy he accepted and over time was able to re attract top players to then faded Arsenal.
Potter on the other hand lacks the humility to say I am only as good as making average players better, but cannot move metrics for top players any of which from the Chelsea bench could walk into Brighton and become the instant star. Just as David Moyes and Man Utd, he has put he ego ahead of common sense hence Chelsea is in the current position.

I like Mason Mount but he really needs to stop hijacking corner kicks and free kicks from teammates who’d do a better job especially if he’s not going to produce good ones.
Graham Potter needs to switch Mason who continually keeps drifting, back to the right with Sterling/Pulisic on the left. Aubameyang/ Broja should be ahead as the main forward attackers which should then force Kai Havertz and Mount to get the ball to the strikers bc that is their job but they rarely ever do this.
For crying out loud, Erling Haaland, this season has scored more goals than Mason or Havertz with the rest of the front 5 combined, over the past 3 seasons. It really is unacceptable.
Ziyech, Gallagher and Hudson Odoi (when he returns) should be allowed more game time.
Other red flags include the situation that in most games where ChelseaFC have had over 70% possession, they barely hit the target more than 4 times in a single game. This has been a lingering issue even from Lampard’s days at the helm. Tuchel didn’t bother to solve that problem and now Potter has inherited it. That being said he’s the one person that has the authority to change all of that.
Chelsea need to create more clear cut chances for the strikers and score more goals and stop relying on the fullbacks and defenders to do all the scoring hence the reason most of them are currently injured.
