      Agree with that but also would actually be great if artists zoomed up the Ableton's interface to at least 120% when recording the screencasts; it's hard to see stuff even in 1080p, and I'm using a 27" monitor, can't imagine how it would be if I were to use a laptop to watch the tutorial...

    Can be confusing when someone mentions adjusting a specific harmonic i.e. Metrik mentions the first harmonic is after the fundamental.. but quick google search comes up with ... "The lowest frequency produced by any particular instrument is known as the fundamental frequency. The fundamental frequency is also called the first harmonic of the instrument.".. So when he mentions the first harmonic, it's actually the second.

    Dealing with latency due to lack of delay compensation in Ableton is a nightmare. Although Ableton does compensate, it does so up to a point and after that you have to figure out what plugins are generating latency and then try to manually compensate like he did in the video. It's even more complicated when you have multiple channels routed to a bus, and the bus has a midi-synced effect like LFO Tool. I wish Ableton implemented Pro Tool's way of reporting how much compensation is being applied and when does it exceed the maximum and by how much.

    • @ninecrowns7092
      @ninecrowns7092 Před 4 lety

      Agreed. In Reaper I can seemingly add as many latent plugins as I want before LFOTool without it ever crapping out. In Ableton I just use the compressor sidechain to avoid the headaches.
