  • Calgary area Cadets depart for various summer cadet training centres in Alberta and BC. The weekend of July 7/8 is a busy time at the NE Armouries in Calgary, Ab as hundreds of Army, Air and Sea cadets depart for annual summer training. Parents drop off their cadets and luggage, as movements staff fill out information. Busses arrive and depart through the weekend. By the end of the weekend, these cadets will arrive at Rocky Mountain, Penhold, Cold Lake, Vernon, and many other CSTCs.

At camp, for course cadets, the ranks and the tunics come off. For staff cadets, they are reassigned new ranks which they wear on a bassard on base.
