Imagine the jam sessions in the afterlife. Beethoven invites Gershwin over to his house for their weekly piano/harpsichord dual. Chopin, Mancini, Liszt, and Ellington are in their usual conservatory chairs, ready to act as judges. At the other end of the mansion, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, and Haydn are listening to Bach, Mozart, Armstrong, and Hendrix warm up in the drawing room. Joe leans over to ask Toni when Glenn is going to show up. Handel is in the corner with Ella and Aretha, newly inspired to write an oratorio for the two, and furiously scribbling away. Then the door opens and the whole room shouts "Neil!" as the Professor walks in. Jimi gives him a nod, but Satch says, "You're late," and points to his kit.
Nah mate, he's been left her dust
She plays like 25thousand notes in 6 minutes, memorizes them all, never misses one, effortlessly, incredible.

@thereisnochoiceleft one hundred percent agreed. No music is effortless. I'm pretty sure if someone asks her how she feels about this piece. She'll definitely say she's proud of her work but at this point she probably hates it. I can play a few pieces by Beethoven and Mozart. I'm proud of it. But now I kinda hate them.

I don't think she memorized it (I can be wrong). Some people play music in the same way as a native English speaker speaks English most often without knowing the exact grammar.

I like how natural this piece sounds on electrical guitar. Beethoven really was ahead of his time
Well, it IS true that most pieces of classical music are just as heavy or even heavier than metal. It's no wonder that the 2 genres can be fused so beautifully.
@@Izelor the classical era wasn't heavy imo, it started with the romantic era that Beethoven initiated, so the comment above makes sense imo.
Beethoven would still be ahead of his time today.
@@TheAskald Toccata and Fugue on an electric guitar sounds pretty goddamn metal.
Go for baroque.
They are certainly called great composers for a reason. Music of these composers are extraordinary. If only Mr Beethoven himself was able to hear that young lady today ...
There's such a HUGE connection between Metal and Classical. That's where I had started in High School.
this song awakened Beethoven from his eternal slumber and cured his deafness
She ain't even trying
So instinctively natural
11,000 dislikes? Jealousy is a horrible trait. Beethoven would be proud of this lady, absolutely magnificent.😍
@S Maksymiv who said it was over gender
I completely agree. How can you not find this incredible and entertaining. Some people just don’t know talent when they see it.
Her guitar wasn't plugged in
It is not jealousy. This lady is a very good guitarist, but if she wants to play BEETHOVEN, she has to learn the piano.
Why does she HAVE to learn the violin. You can play any kind of music on whatever damn instrument you damn well like. Omg 100% closed minded. If everyone thought like you, we would still be living in caves and using bone tools. 😂
To the people saying she has no style of her own: she is very early in her musical journey and will develop a style with time. You can't expect her to already have a fully developed style at 17 years old, that's ludicrous. Her technical skills are extraordinary and will surely blossom into a unique and equally as extraordinary style. And she's a better guitarist than 99% of all the people watching the video so we can only imagine where she will be in 15 or 20 years.
Agreed. High five✋🏻
Nicholas McCallon everyone has their own style at any point when they start to play guitar. No one has ever seen her just play something that SHE has written. Maybe she hasn't written anything but if she did, that would be an execution of her own "style" wouldn't it?
xPBKM4x what I meant when I made that comment was when someone who has been playing guitar(well) for many years plays a song, they change it to suit their style. When Hendrix is playing, most people who've listened to him know who's playing because of his distinctive style. When you hear SRV, you know it's SRV. When you hear insane slap picking, Flea comes to mind. What I'm saying is her method (style) of playing is a precise, classical technique, which makes sense because she started on classical guitar from a young age. Yes she has a style ,of course, but her style isn't a unique style that's hers and hers only.
also full credit to WHAT songs she's listening to/learning ... _not many_ 17yo's will devote the time required to learning a complex classic like Beethoven, seriously she's on another level man and anyone who criticizes her is oozing jealousy, and perhaps confronted because a 17yo girl is making their own guitarwork look ordinary. R'n'fn'R
What's most impressive is that you can tell she gets the music internally just from seeing how she reacts to each phrase. Lots of pianists miss out on that. They're either stiff from trying to impress or rigidly conforming to score scribbles. Interesting style will surely develop after experiencing and experiments with many others.
As for another level...this is essentially a passionate arpeggio exercise. Check out a complex Bach fugue on guitar. Probably the hardest thing to do with the same energy as this video. Almost no one can touch that stuff (from what I've seen on yt so far).
Never be jealous...only learn from people better at something than you are! Her playing and technique is flawless and beautifully executed!
Reincarnation of all past exceptional guitarists in one body. Just amazing!😎🇺🇸

Took me over a decade to master the third movement of the Moonlight Sonata on piano. Can't play it today after not practicing daily for over 5 years.
Always believed that Beethoven had a bit of a metal side to him, being deaf and all, and this rather does prove it, in an amusing way. Awesome work, Tina.
I think a lot of Classical has some metal undertones in it.
Jack Metzel I think you mean a lot of Metal has a lot of Classical undertones, given that Classical came beforehand. But from the perspective of certain composers being a bit more metal than others.;.. yeah. Beethoven, Paganini, and a host of others definitely could shred in their own way.
Christ, you must suck at practicing.
systempatcher Heh... to get it perfect, you have to practice daily, and then keep playing it at least once a week. I haven't had time to do that with a full-time job, family, etc. It's not exactly the first and second movement where once you learn it, you know it, because they aren't technically demanding.

Too many voices. I can't tell if she's playing the guitar or lip syncing for guitar. I've been playing on and off for 45 years, piano too, and it's all about tone. If Ludwig Van Beethoven knew this existed, he would drag out a piano, and shred the fuck out of this song with her.
He would explode in joy.
Nice one!
Indeed, Beethoven would be so proud lol.
Yeah, well after Beethoven finished the 9th Symphony God said, "That's enough !!", and quietly dispatched Ludwig Van..
Not to forget: god made Beethoven completely deaf, and said to him : "So lets see, what you make now !!" ... and then Beethoven wrote the 9th symphony, missa solemnis, etc .. against all the mobbing and laughs he get in his days from the society. Even today there are lots of jokes about his deafness. For me Beethoven was the biggest composer ever lived. Most people only knows the "rude" compositions from him, like 5. Symphony , or the "majestic" 9. Symphony. But he has a lot of composings besides that, whith different moods , colors... some of them: modern like a movie-score for a batman-movie or a love-movie ... others sounds like Haydn - conventional. A lot of them are also very very soft... or like a playful kindergarden-song. There are also compositions which sounds romantic like Chopin,...or melancholic like Debussy... Or for the church like Bach. Beethoven simply could compose everything, every style.
Most of the Metalers who wants to say : "Beethoven was a metaller of the 18.-19. century" dont know a shit about Beethoven. He wasnt "fixed" into one style, like every metal band is. Beethoven could be everything. That was his magic. Not the music told him, what he could be. He told the music, what music can be.
Ode to joy
That works so well on guitar, what skills.

@@csongorcsizmadia6765 This is (sarc/), yes?
@@docwill184 they're both amazing in my opinion (just different genres) but I wasnt really serious about Tonne being better than her
Clearly you havent seen asian kids playing guitar.... or anything... damn kids make anybody look amateur
One more comment on top of thousands, but as a kid I remember trying to learn to play the original composition on piano, hundreds of hours, and never getting anywhere close to proficient. Listened to a podcast a year or so ago where I think they sampled you and said Beethoven may have been the first heavy-metal composer, and thinking to myself “God that’s why I always loved this piece!”
Just knowing this recording exists is a treasure. This has brought joy to my soul in the middle of some really dark times, just knowing that some human being somewhere took as much joy in hearing Beethoven as I always did, and I believe divined his intent from the ether Similarly, but actually put in the diligence to fully realize it… It’s the essence of magic, it’s electrifying, I have to see if you sell a copy of your audio on iTunes because I want to on this forever.

Strength to you brother.
most metal guitar players I have met in my 55 years doing music are classically trained in technique and theory. I think the only other person that does the Infamous Third of MS, however, is her tutor.
Beethoven is #1. His music is so dynamic, it adapts well to electric guitar. I also love J .S. Bach. and would love to hear Tina play some of the Brandenburg Concertos. She has an eclectic range of musical tastes and I love it. The variety of the pieces she plays shows her great talent and adaptability. My favorite guitarist!!
Every once in a while i come back to listen
Beethoven is the godgather of metal.
ohorok2 when classical music meats metal
AlmightyStarfire ok sorry...
Welp can't argue with that. He rebelled against the state and constantly broke his piano strings cuz he would hit the keys really hard (and pianos in his time were more suited for gentle playing). So yeah. Pretty metal.
CrimsonSully if you were supposed to play them loud, they would be called fortés
And who is Beethoven?
TINA COMEBACK. THE WORLD NEED YOU
She is die?
@@user-gg1fq9qr7z is she dead?! Please tell me she isn't!

This is insane. To say that I’m impressed, just doesn’t capture it. Wow.
