Nakh: a ritual dance performed by women along the Algerian/Tunisian border. It features the swaying of the dancer’s head and thrashing of the hair. An altered state of consciousness is induced by the repetitive yet simple movements performed during the dance.
Headbang: slang to nod one’s head violently to the beat of loud rock music.

They sound like Om with a female vocalist and more guitar. The vocal melodies kinda remind me of Candlemass as well. This is very good doom inspired metal. Cheers from California! 😊
Not just Algerian/Tunisian border. This is Amazigh (otherwise known as Berber) culture of North Africa, from Morocco right across to Libya. It is an amazing sight to see!
It's real name is "Carthage" NOT "Amazigh".
Traveled there in my 20s. Gorgeous. Just found out about this band from a friend today. Blown away by their talent.
Women headbang all across North Africa from all backgrounds and ethnicities, headbanging, different smells ,colours and repetitive music induce a translike state.

Ha, that's exactly what happened to me, walked out of Flotsam and Jetsam to take a leak at the toilets next to Valley stage, heard this beautiful voice, straight in, didn't go back, sorry F&J. Now own two Messa albums lol.🤘🤘
I so love the RARE song that blows my mind and leaves me with goosebumps from the honor of experiencing a masterpiece for the first time. 5 or 6 times in my 53 years......this is one. Thank you MESSA

Just discovered this and was blown away by this beauty.
Well, this kicks sufficient amounts of ass. The intro section is quite long, though I actually think I like that. It's more like the first movement as opposed to an intro per se. The guitars are awesome, doomy, a few slight note choices and change-ups that work well. And her vocals after the guitars and drums begin are sublime. It's wailing, astral, shadow and light gliding about one another. This is a quick favorite of the various metal tracks I've heard in recent months.
