My hair Is 23&1/2 inches long and I'm scared to braid it lol but this'll be my first time braiding my natural hair in box braids so wish me luck. Beautiful Job btw

Thank you and I just used a scarf and bonnet at night, no other maintenance needed it’ll stay moisturized until time for next style.

2 in first row 5 in the middle and 6 on top so 13 total 😊
How long do you keep braids in your hair? How often do you wash them?
I kept these in for 3 weeks and I take them down before washing.

You’re welcome ☺️ and yes I do or I’ll do twists and leave them in for a while. My hair has been growing but I don’t pay that much attention to that I just leave my hair alone most of the time lol because I’m a stay at home mom for the time being so I don’t like messing with my hair all the time.

Can this work with relaxed hairr
Possibly but you would probably have to do something to the ends like roll them or maybe use rubber bands to get them to stay braided.
How do you do the ends ?
Once you get to the end of the braid just twirl then around your finger to lock in the curl.
Does edge control clog the pores on your scalp?
No, I didn’t have any issues with that but I wouldn’t apply on a daily basis just once.

I’m new to natural hair and wanted to try your protective style for retaining length and moisture but I had nothing for holding/shiny/sleekness and just spent the last 40 minutes looking for a cheep, good quality product (as long as it doesn’t clog the scalp). What are you doing with the ends? It's hard to see..... did you tuck them back into the rubber band so they aren't lose?
Asking bc my daughter wants box braids with no beads on the ends (natural hair) but I want her ends protected....

I didn’t use rubber bands at all for this style, once I got to the end I just twirled my finger around it to create a curl/coil. The ends will be protected because it’s braided I didn’t have any issue leaving them out with no beads.
