Hi bro, I am the guy with red shirt and wearing blinkers headlamp at the starting line. I am a solo runner and had my first full marathon without any half marathon experience. I finished at 5hr25min. Hi 👋, I have been running for about 8 years. My advice is to train at z2 for 30min to 1hr every other day. Do this for about 6 months, then you will notice that your runs will be getting easier. Add in some intervals or speed work then your runs will be getting faster.
@zildjanzildjan1473 sure! Usually I will take 1 N8 5-10mins before the race starts. Depending on where the water stations are placed, I will take 1 Hammer Gel just before I reach the water station so I can have a cup of water to smoothing it down. I will take 1 between 7-10km, (since this run has water station at every 2.5km on the first half and 3km on the second half) my gel I took at km7.5, 17, 24, 32, 38. Alternating between caffinated and non-caffinated. Salt stick I took at each 10km (10, 20,30). Hope this helps. Also take note that everybody is different and how their body absorb gel is different too.

Hi, How many salt pill that you actually took for the whole 42km? And when did you use it?
Each hour I took 1... total 3 during the run and 1 more after because the pill comes in a set.
