  • Evil's mountain bikes have a cult following for their incredible Delta Link suspension and uniquely involving, mischievous ride dynamics. Older bikes had a reputation for loosening pivots and linkages though so when they sent me their mid travel Offering last November, I figured we'd best ride it as much as possible. So here's the workshop walk round to show how well it's handled a full 12 months of flat out trail rallying and talk through the details of the frame and kit spec.
Thanks to Giro Cycling UK, Peaty’s Products, Silverfish UK and Crud XL Fenders for sponsoring the channel, Evil Europe for sending the bike in for test and to my Patreon supporters for their monthly pledges. Absolutely BRILLIANT review my man. I ride a 2022 Following but all of your comments ring true. 😎

Made a move recently from Cannondale Bad Habit XC to Offering. Noticeable weight difference when climbing (from 12.7 kgs to little over 14)but super safe, forgiving and fun on flat and downhill technical stuff. Still getting used to it

Love both of these Offering videos. Here's my dilemma. I want one. I have a nicely appointed Tallboy (your video on that bike was so good!). I realize they are different bikes in different genres. Having ridden both, what would be the +/- of making the switch. What would I notice? Better climber? Better downhill? Etc. I'd love to demo but that seems to not be a reality anymore. Thanks.

Hi Matt, I'm picking up the new TB5 for testing tomorrow so that'll give me a fresher comparison. Give me a kick if I don't get back to you soon tho.

I love my Offering 2 . I’ve got a push coil and now run it in low . I’ve fitted a 1.5 degree angle headset. So I’m probably 64 degrees head angle. I’ve tried the other settings and I’ve found this suits me the best .
Guy how does the Offering compare to the Trek ex ? I’ve been looking at the reviews. Might change in the spring. But is it worth it ? 👍

Looks and sounds like it will go out of the box......but 14Kg that is one heavy bike !!!...London Bus springs to mind. However excellent review as always Guy,top shelf Sir.

Unfortunately that's about the average weight for a bike in this category now. Even carbon frames with carbon wheels.

single pivot is that strong to hold the bike not crash

They’re cool bikes but I can’t live without frame storage now. 🤷‍♂️

Interesting. It's certainly a super useful feature and I I wasn't carrying extra camera/battery stuff in a waist pack anyway it'd probably be a big decider for me too.
