My favorite thing about king (besides the fact that as a kid I thought he literally had a jaguar’s head) is that he’s based on a real monk who wrestled to make money for disenfranchised children ❤

Actually he is only based in fray tormenta on the fact that he runs an orphanage, but in reality he's more based in tigermask, a manga and then real life pro wrestler from japan, or should I say wrestlers since, like king, different people had worn the mask

I love Kings story.
We see King try to save his orphanage and succeed, but has one of his orphanes die, goes into a depression until Armored King saves him. He gets his orphans a Christmas but dies in a fight with Ogre. Then one of the orphanages takes up the mantle, gets trained by armored king, that armored king dies by Marduk. King goes through this path of wanting to kill Marduk but stops because he be putting his family in the same pain as he had endured TWICE. Turns the other cheek and forgives Marduk like how King 1 would have. Learns that a new Armored King is actually the brother to the first Armored King and rivals him. Then in Tekken 7, King is trying to bring everyone together which results in him getting the money for their hospital bills. Lol god King should be the main focus.

@@realistmw They killed the first King to shift the focus from orphans to a wrestling-inspired story and then they made the new armor king the old one brother cause they killed him in the story but still wanted an armor king
I’ve learned that King was inspired to a Japanese wrestler who wears a jaguar mask (Satoru Sayama) and to a Catholic priest (Fray Tormenta) who joins wrestling to support an orphanage, and that’s why in his early endings there are kids. I could say he’s one of the kindhearted characters and idc would not agree with me.

I really hope the story between King, Armor King and Marduk continues in the next Tekken game. It is one of the best storylines that is happening in the series.

Apparently Marduk challenged Armored King to a match, if Marduk loses he retires but if Armored loses he has to give up the mask.
@@BigBoyPharma There's backstory and info in all the games, the games used to have databases on the fighters. Basically King and Armored King is one big redemption arc revolving around the Armored King I, King's trainer and Armored King II's brother, being killed by Craig Marduk. While King forgave Marduk, Armored King II hates them both. There's other details such as King himself being the second King, the first was killed by Ogre. King also runs an orphanage and uses his winnings to take care of the children. When Armored King II first showed up, King was shocked because he knew that Armored King I was dead. He discovers the truth later, of course, but he hasn't been able to stop Armored King II from trying to get revenge against Marduk.
Tekken 4's ending is my favorite. Such a beautiful ending. It speaks volumes on King.
I wish King become the main character or just gets his own series.

It was a story problem I believe. Kings story could have been the best story in tekken if they putted a little more effort. Marduk kills armour king in a match and it was an accident of sort which isn't explained much. King wanted to kill him but didn't as he knew marduk's family would suffer the same as king. And this king is not the 1st king too cause the first king is killed by ogre which isn't shown either( that king might have killed marduk even though he was kind too) then armor kings brother comes then all 3 of them confront each other in tekken 6 but after that they pretty much left the story line. I rework would be good tho.
I think Armor King I's death is implied to be an accident. In Marduk's Tekken 4 intro it's stated he went to jail for manslaughter and in King's Tekken 3 ending we see the Armor King I is suffering from some kind of serious illness (possibly terminal). My theory is that in Marduk's drunken barfight with Armor King I, at some point the fight got so intense it sent Armor King into cardiac arrest due to both his disease and the stress of the fight. It's also stated in Tekken 5 that at first King is still angry at Marduk and only really forgives him after a second fight in the 5th King of Iron Fist tournament.

Heir to the throne. He's really King the second. Raised in King's orphanage, he was 24 years old when the original King was killed. He put on the mask and assumed the role of King's successor, in order to honor his mentor and save the orphanage.
