I remember as a child in Beirut begynding of 80s somebody called me Beckenbauer, first time i heard the name. Rummenige was my favourite player at that time. RIP Kaiser

Yo no recuerdo que nadie le hubiese quitado la pelota del pie. Regateaba y escondía la bola como pocos, sin aspavientos haciendo lo complicado fácil. Creo recordar que pocos jugadores intentaban sacarle la bola porque sabían que eso era imposible. Visión de juego excelente. Organizador del juego del equipo. Asistente excepcional. Pases largos de 40 metros que llegaban al pie milimétricamente. Lanzador de faltas entre los mejores de la historia. Liderazgo indiscutible. Carácter. No tengo palabras. Era mi ídolo cuando era niño y adolescente.

Eu sou suspeito para falar sobre Franz Beckenbauer. Se puder dizer algo sobre ele eu diria que ele jogava de terno! Na minha seleção de todos os tempos ele é titular absoluto. Eu arriscaria dizer que ele era o Pelé da zaga e como líbero. Adversários tremiam diante de suas subidas ao ataque, seus lançamentos milimétricos causavam frio nas costas de quem precisaria correr, eu só posso dizer para apreciar aquilo que ele fez em campo. Vejam com seus olhos. Obrigado.
