    Thanks for this preaching of the word. I married a divorced man years after he divorced his first wife and the possibility of reconciliation was not there because she had remarried soon after. Always felt condemned by Jesus’ words that whoever marries a divorced person commits adultery. We were attending a Lutheran Brethren church at the time and one of the pastors there advised my husband that he should consider remarriage because he had repented of his actions in divorce and had lived many years as a faithful single person. I can say God has worked in our lives and blessed us with children but I do see my life would likely have been easier if I had married a person who hadn’t been married and divorced.
