Video of Mamod "Challenger" and Mamod SE3. The SE3 was rescued from skip in a school. Disposed of because of a broken rod and various leaks, all easily repairable.

are they as good as the normal engine with the single action cylinder?

They produce more power , but need real steam oil in a reservoir.
