Nah Ukraine has completely thrown away any soviet or Russians training books. The Ukrainians now only train in nato standards, heck they even have shown how to better train western military.

From the helmetcam videos I have seen of wounded guys that need to march 15km away from the front, this is clearly necessary. I hope that the idea of fighting for the guys next to you is also reinforced in training, that is imho what separates western troops from Russian.
SOF guys said in an interview that one of tests they did was to be buried alive with a tube to breath though. You stay that way for hours.

Damn, that's brutal but necessary. Imagine being in the trenches and a FPV drone hits nearby, causing your trench to collapse on top of you. This type of training is excellent.

You mean western? They are not American, not British… but what they’re, are 🇺🇦! They fight like ground pounders, they our team guys plan 4 months ahead to only enter and overthink basic CQB.

Ofcourse it's intense, they've learned how we train and created their own version. I wouldnt be surprised if it was even more brutal then the west.

Pretty sure we (US, or Brits) sent our SoF guys over to train some of their guys.
They are the most experienced neer-peer fighting force on earth at the moment. I don't think even our training would hold up to conditions on the Ukrainian battlefield
Before the war, Ukrainian SOF and SBU were trained by British SAS and US Green Berets. However, now Ukrainians have an upper hand as they possess more combat experience and I bet their training is more intense than any other training.

I absolutely love that these guys are learning from the guys i was deployed with. No better training in the world than that of Special Forces. Be it, SEAL's, or Rangers....They have single handedly created the best Combat Training systems in the world.
This is why every country should have 18-year-olds serve for 2 years in the military. It gives the opportunity to find the Best Of the best.

also training should take months. And troops should be retrained. This needs to becoming the most advanced part of the military. Not need for good weapons without good crew

They have been trained by almost every country and America the UK France and Germany Special Forces have trained ukrainians Special Forces so I can take the training from whatever they want and put it in corporate to what they need to there is 5k-20k being trained in the USA right now..
DO NOT shoot in a real location. There are people out there who can find the location by trees, grass and shadows alone.

Every ideologically motivated fighting force are in every nation in every war the real special forces. No one beats R@ di c@L political/religious motivation. Look at what Afghan Bedouins did to NATO and the Soviets before that.

okay cool and all. But like Make sure they are okay. Harding the mind is okay and understandable for war. But Messures must be taken to care for the people too. Not matter if voluntarily. Prepare them for operations and Incoming fire. Not just Navy seal type shut
Having seen friends pass through SEAL training you are forever changed. The hardening, corruption of innocence, inability to emote, whatever you call it is chosen by the candidate. They can step out anytime by ringing the bell. But the training bar cannot be lowered because it’s too taxing if they are to physically survive. Are they emotionally dying in the process? Yes, i think so and that’s perhaps what’s needed but an unfortunate side effect for SOF that go on to live like the rest of us when they finish.
