  • Our 65 Mustang already has subframe connectors, 1" lowering springs in the front, K-code Hi-po leaf springs, a 1 1/16" front sway bar, and KYB Gas-a-just shocks. We upgrade our ride quality with a Scott Drake export brace, a Shelby/Arning upper control arm drop kit, new lower control arms, a new set of the original red adjustable Koni shocks in front and rear, along with new rear shock plates. After the installation we share a few "at home" alignment tips. We tell you how we adjust your Koni shocks. The center of gravity feels noticeably lower once we relocated the upper control arms.

Why did you change the rear shock plates on the bottom of the axle?

The original spring plates are flimsy and can barely be tightened without bending.
