Never a dull moment in the hay business!
Got that right
You need a whole lot of horsepower to pull a greased string out of a cat's butt with Gavin hiding on the other end, especially on a work day. 🤣🤣🤣
We finally got some rain here in Oklahoma after a month of 100+ degrees weather. Great video Sir. God Bless y'all
That’s awesome!
I get the same when I get in a tractor after my old man's been in it, the 2 way radio is cranked right up! Some don't turn off with the key so you don't know it's loud until someone talks and man does it give you a fright😂😂
Haha
We let our 4707 warm up and it takes a minute for sure. As a general observation of running it hard on a long day, our Massey tends to run cooler, longer.
Thanks Dennis. Always good to ride along with you.
Awesome
Thanks for the video Dennis. Always interesting to watch.
Looks like your getting enough rain and your Hay crop is doing ok, Same here, feel sorry for the folks down south not getting anything, Texas, Oklahoma just to name a few.
Hope all is well Dennis 👍🏻
It got dry in June but that worked out good to get all my hay up. Now it’s raining every other day.
Dennis, next time our paths cross, I need to tell you a story about ol man Quesenberry (sp) and the Hull & Thomas fire. I think you'd get a chuckle out of it.
Another great vid sir . I do like the idea of a cordless mic. My old ford 8730 is a bit gutless when cold but give it 5 mins go get the fluid warmed up and flowing she has alot more pony's. Mind you I need coffee and 5-10 mins to get going as well so it's not a bad thing 😉🤣 stay safe 🏴
Haha 👍
Thanks Dennis for another great video. Good audio with your new mike.
Thanks!
The Blue ridge parkway starts near Cherokee North Carolina and connects to the Shenandoah parkway at the Virginia line mile marker zero the Shenandoah stretches all the way up to front Royal Virginia and that's when it ends.
Thanks I couldn’t remember
You should try a head set with a mic if you have to upgrade again. I picked one up on amazon and it works great
Hope you got all your hay put up by now. Really hope you didn't have any weather damage from the all the rain this past weekend.
Got it all up before July no rain damage. Working on second cut now. Videos are weeks behind what I’m doing now.
G’job Dennis, It never fails that the bale is done on a hillside😤then have to look for somewhere level. Do they make an accumulator for that baler? That way you could tote it where you wanted while baling…might need bigger tractor. Keep em comin hoss🇺🇸
Everything I bale is a hillside haha
@DHL farm nice videos sir keep it up, and is the field with the grave site on it is that your guys land
No it’s not ours
@@DLHFarms ok that’s how it is at my dads house, the farmer that we know who farms the 200 acres field behind his house rents the field from a guy out of California and this field is in Indiana Amish country
Hi Dennis, great video. What is the name of the microphone you use? Or a link would be great... Thank you
DJI wireless mic is what I’m using now
Your new microphone is sounding nice and clear Dennis .Your New Holland sounds well, baler and hills making it work.Have you managed to do any loader work with the 5711 yet ? If so how did it go ?
Mike
I sure haven’t, for some reason it always ends up on the baler haha
Am pleased you and Shannon both enjoying using the 5711 on the baler
Tractor looks like the T5 😨
Yeah but it’s a T6 so way better
Did I hear you right? You uncle doesn't like you? Well, we all do, so that's all that matters. 👍
He doesn’t like anyone
@@DLHFarms LOL I had an uncle I didn't like. Goes both ways no doubt.
Hello Denis would it pay to purchase a good heavy roller to help smooth out the bumps? Does that tractor have a sensor to stop it running to capacity until warm? Sounds like your moisture sensors are getting worn out. Have a great day see you then.
Good morning Dennis 🌞
PLEASE! Tell me how you keep the hay from accumulating and building up in front of the wrap actuators to keep them from faulting out? ive tried baling with due, not baling so dry, feeding in faster. Just cant keep the hay build up off the bar infront that cuts the wrap.
Never had an issue with any build up causing a problem on mine. Once the actuator got a little age on it, it gets weaker and has trouble pulling the guide track back into the park position there is a mod you can do where you cut that sharp corner off the guide track and it will work for several more seasons before replacing the actuator. The guide is on the right side of the baler near the actuator. If you email me I can send you a pic of mine sometime. dennisharrell@hotmail.com
I wondered when the round baler would come out
Whomp there it is.
Are you talking about the blueridge parkway
Yes
Did you ever have a runaway bale?😂if so did it unravel? Enjoyed the video as always.👍
I do have that problem sometimes. They don’t normally unravel.
Good video.
Thanks
Another good video thank you. What hay preservative do you use and are you happy with it ?
I use harvestec which is what new Holland John Deere and Agco sells as their brand it’s all harvestec. I’ve been very pleased with it, it has saved my butt many times.
@@DLHFarms Thank you.
New tires on the front? Better for plowing snow
Old ones worn out and one went flat from a sidewall cut. Got new rears also but haven’t put them on yet.
How much do you have to pay to the landowners per acre for hay?
All my landowners are just happy to have their land mowed fertilized lined and maintained.
@DLH Farms oh that's cool.. if you had a landowner that had lousy soil or lousy hay would you just not work on that land or would you till and plant new grass?
@@ninorcsinned3465 I have done this many times takes a lot of money. Lime it fertilize it and no-till new seed. Takes a few years to get it up in production.
@@DLHFarms huh! Interesting. Is there a reason you don't till the soil?
@@ninorcsinned3465 cause around here you will be picking up rocks for days after tilling.
I'm sure you've answered this question many times, but what two-way radios do run in your equipment?
Motorola
@@DLHFarms Thank You!

Wife just told me that I was her first round bale. She not allowed to watch DLH farm video with me again. lol
