Great video with the amazing Slovenian knowhow ;)
Thanks! 😃
Nice. Nice video now if you want to get rid i will happily take😂 Well deserved getting all of that sent to you. Looks a great setup !
Thanks I’ll bear that in mind! 🤪
Thanks for the vid. Looks like that setup comes to over £1000, be interested to see how it compares to Gozney but I know thats where my money would be spent. A few observations from your review - the oven base looks unsteady. The table doesnt have wheels so limited mobility. Also wood legs means no adjustment for uneven surfaces and potential rotting issues.
Thanks for the comment! The build quality is very nice and the finish is great too. I would have liked to see a way to fix the smaller table to the larger one to make it more secure.
Thanks Tom. Looks like a Stealth Fighter F-117. It’s too bad I can’t get this in the U.S. Take care.
I had to google what an F-117 was but I see now what you mean! I asked the company about shipping as a few people have asked, hopefully they will ship to USA soon
Hey Tom. Thanks for all the reviews!
What are the advantages and disadvantages of Glowen Raptor over the Karu 12G and the Karu 16?
Thanks for checking out my video! There are many differences between these ovens, I have videos and play lists on all of them I’d recommend checking out
Hi Tom, great video! Have you got a link to the dough recipe you’re using here?
Thanks so much! I don’t have a video of this recipe yet but will make a video soon. The recipe and method for making this dough is in the video description though
Do you know when they will ship to the US?
That is a beautiful pizza station. They did a nice job
Yes it's a brilliant set up! Im not sure about the shipping to other parts of the world, have you tired asking them directly?
Hi Nice video! Do Glowne Raptor ships to UK? seems there is no UK delivery option in their website.
It was my understanding that they do, but just to double check i have emailed my contact there to make sure. I'll let you know when they respond
the soot inside the oven should be white before using since it indicates the oven has reached the proper temp
Yes but you still need a flame from the fresh wood to cook the top of the pizza
Where did you get that wooden peel from
It came with the oven, it’s available via the links in the video decsription
Hi Tom. Was wondering how you got this oven as they won't post to the UK.
The reached out to me and asked to send me it to review. I would assume they have contacted me as they will soon offer to a UK customer base, however it did cost me a lot in import tax thanks to UK now not being part of EU
The reason I am asking as I bought the diablo and had to get it delivered outside the UK and then have it collected and delivered to the uk. Havent used it yet but looks impressive. Paid a lot for delivery though, but thats Brexit form you.
You should have tried heating and baking with gas burner too..
Good suggestion 👍🍕
Tom, can we do sourdough etc in here?
Yes, absolutely but would recommend using charcoal than wood to help keep a lower temp as fire from wood would be too hot to cook bread
Thank for the review Tom.
The discount code is not working anymore, is it expired?
I think so yeah, Ill contact the company and ask them
@@TomVoyageuk ok, thanks.
Just spoke to the company, the discount code is back up and running!
So which do you prefer? Glowen or Ooni?
It’s hard to say because they are quite different ovens
@TomVoyageuk Looks like they don't ship to the US anyway... thank you.
In my opinion is that there is more (vertical) space to turn the pizza in the Glowen than in the Ooni Koda. It is also easier to see the entire baking process.
@@TomVoyageukIf you had to choose only one, which would it be?
Hi Tom, would the Koda 16 fit on this table?
Another oven can easily be placed on the large table. On top of the smaller table there is a preparation (two longitudinal grooves) for the Glowen ovens (Dragon, Raptor, Diablo), it must be placed there. There is no such thing on Ooni. That way it would only hold it by its weight, which is not safe in my opinion.
It would fit onto the larger table yes but not the smaller one as the comment above mentioned
Maybe it’s because you’re in the UK, but it’s important to differentiate what type of gas the oven can use. Is it propane or natural gas? Also, might want to mention they are only available to a very limited number of countries. That said, I do enjoy your reviews and other videos.
Thanks for watching and I think you would need to contact the manufacturer directly for this info but in the UK we almost always use propane for outdoor grilling/cooking. Some will use butane but it has a higher melting point so better suited for indoor use
@@TomVoyageuk Here in the US most homes in cold states have natural gas available.
Discount code is not working anymore...
Thanks for letting me know, i think it was only on for a limited time
Update - I spoke to the company and the link is now back up and running
@@TomVoyageuk Thank you!
Hmm not great design with that door handle getting hot. These pizza ovens cook so quick you don't really want anything interfering with the cooking process e.g. time spent putting on gloves = burnt pizzas
To be honest o think the door is more useful for longer cooks like bread or roasting meats. During this video shoot I cooked 6 pizzas and not once did I use the door whilst a pizza was in the oven, only between cooks.
I have the raptor since last summer and I'm super happy with it. I mostly use the door to retain the heat while heating and it helps to manage the air draw and the smoke. If there is no door with full combustion, it produces quit a lot of soot. Place the door with the vent open and with some space for a draw, it will burn super clean and heat faster 👌
@@floranoudart5380 great tips thank you!
I guess the door is ment for heating the oven quicker.
