I'm still here in 2020 wishing this were true. hands down my favorite Sonic arrangement of all time. it's criminally underrated and deserves to be performed.
the Ibanez AS93 is great for jazz/rock. Super versatile guitar and not that expensive. For overdrive sounds I'm using the xotic AC booster, and the amp is a Fender Hot Rod.

I was working at San Pedro Square during this set, and I happened to walk out into the courtyard right when this song started. Yeah, my employer didn't see me for ten minutes. Y'all f'ing rule.
You don't have to be a fan of classic Sonic games to enjoy this, but it's a nice treat for those of us who are. Excellent cover.
When I looked at the song and length of this video I figured it would drag on quite a bit, but they did manage to actually keep it very interesting for the whole ten minutes.

It's called a clavichord. A staple of both baroque and funk, this guy got some sort of wah effect on it.

I actually swapped out my pickups for something a little different and had my active electronics disabled (they're still in there, just not hooked up). The pickups in this guitar now are Dimarzio PAF 36th anniversary, with the black covers. It's vintage output but it looks gnarly with it being all black!
