      The model I have is RACPT1412HVWRU, can you link me to the part number for this? I know what they are referring to and I have the same concern. The manual, MIDEA videos and everything else I've seen doesn't indicate that there's any sort of a screen or exhaust adapter that actually prevents things from crawling into the exhaust tube. I know what the general adapter is, the thing with the "duo" inlet/outlet but that has no screen on it.

    • @MideaAmerica
      @MideaAmerica  Před rokem

      Hi, Dynamic Multimedia. Thanks for your question! There are typically three drain locations on our portable ACs that correspond to different modes. The highest drain point would be for dry mode, the middle will be for heat mode (if applicable), and the bottom will be for any condensate that could accumulate during cool mode (rare but can happen in high-humidity environments). Have a good day!

    I just purchased the unit and I've been trying to find out the recommended time for letting it settle before turning it on. I've download and read Midea's manual for the unit I purchased and nowhere in it does it mention the time the unit should sit before turning on. Most online "experts" suggest 24 hours while most other manufacturers manuals recommend a minimum of 4 hours. I'm curious has this ever been test to determine the actual number of hours or is this a guess?
    The draining instructions are seriously flawed because it assumes everyone has a floor level drain such that in a shower stall, when most don't. The floor level drain will have to be elevated for the majority of users, unless they're okay with unhooking it, wheeling it to bathroom, and lifting it into a tub, draining it, and then wheeling it back to be hooked up again. After use for some time, some units require draining every few hours (varies), and your instructions then become not only flawed but downright impractical. So as I see it the only way to resolve this is to install the unit on a solid flat platform with at least 6 inches of elevation and a large enough container to catch the drainage.
