Designed to feel like a New York style apartment yet appropriate for a regional setting, The Brook is a fully off-grid, transportable small house design that explores the use of recycled and restored materials. The double-height created by the expandable roof not only creates an additional sense of space and room for storage, but allows for a walkable height mezzanine level to accommodate a bedroom and home office. The ladder to the mezzanine also folds up to allow for more living and dining space. Through the clever utilization of space and thoughtful selection of materials, The Brooke feels like the perfect combination of luxury and rustic living. If you are mad at your partner, wake up before they do, and then just raise the staircase so they are stuck up there :)
The colors, the materials, the elegant simplicity... I'm speechless
the dog made everything better
That is one of the most beautiful tiny homes. The trick with the roof is genius.
This is easily the best looking and perfectly sized "tiny" house I've ever seen. Holy shit those colors too. Definitely stealing those for my own house.
"We just want to shift the attitude towards living within your means... Bigger is not better and a small space, not only is it better for the environment but it's also better for human interaction and your interaction with the outdoors." YES that's the mindset!!!!
Watching this was just me saying to myself over and over again, "god this is what design is about, this is what it's all about, hold on a minute, oh my god." Obsessed with the desk, as someone who can never sit properly in a chair that would work so well for me. And the ladder on a gear! How steampunk in the most unbearably design-savvy way. It's like this small house is TOO GOOD.
This place feels enormous with how smartly everything is laid out and thought through. Amazing.
Also, that you can WALK in the loft is everything. Tiny houses where you are slouching & crouching to get into bed? Nope. I want to stand thank you & they showed us all YES YOU CAN DO IT.
Mind-blown, Australians are always the best at these kind of functional / estetic design. This house is pure visual therapy.
I hope they won some kind of award for making this home. I’m obsessed with every detail 😍. I’m watching this on repeat about 10 times already and that little lucky dog is just the cherry on top
Whilst the most beautiful sustainable passion progect I've seen, I could not sit at a desk and work without back support.
Forget the fact that this is a tiny house... this house is absolutely stunning.
Holy cow, this is by far the most beautiful, unique, practical tiny house I’ve ever seen. Definitely gonna use this as inspiration in my house! And damn those materials used are 😍. Can’t say anything other than this design is immaculate.
I love how involved the mechanisms of the house are. The wheel for the staircase is brilliant, and the dangling desk and living room window are such great ideas
Having the drying rack above the sink is a genius move.
Guys, this has to be the BEST tiny home I have seen. Amazing. Really like your design philosophy, the use of materials and the overall layout of your house. The moving staircase would solve one of my problems, I am an amputee and cannot climb stairs. This could be transformed into a lift of sorts. Brilliant.
I rarely see a tiny house I feel I could live in, but I could in this one. It's one of the most aesthetically pleasing spaces I've seen. I love the layout, the cypress cladding, and all the other features such as the folding staircase and foot dangling desk that make it functional as well as pleasing to the eye. The view is stunning. You two are very talented and lucky to have such a beautiful place.
The rural Aussie showcases always take functional to a whole new level. Also, that first shot is just so satisfying... assuming it doesn't get any worse than that lol.
I've been binge watching this channel and found this house very inspirational. Love the thought process that went into designing this house. This house sufficiently tiny and sufficiently generous at the same time. Love love love this house! Also love that it's Aussie!
