Such command, brilliant dynamics. So easy to over do it with this piece, but he didn't. The differential timing between the left and right hands is remarkable. WOW !
This was recorded in 1987 and by the time he was a teenager. The lefthand part in the middle section is extremely difficult with big leaps and he did not slow down at all. The few mistakes can be forgiven considering the fact that his hands were still not full grown.
Looks like you do mind, since you mentioned it twice, subconsciously it must bother you in some way. This piece is not at all technically difficult, he just needed more practice. His artistic expression on the other hand has not rival, even at this age, compared to adult mature pianists, Kissin's interpretation is magic. He let go and expressed it beautifully, and in there mistakes were made, I would like to listen to his current version without the mistakes.
I don’t think its a matter of practice. He just made mistakes, thats it. Lets keep in mind that on the same program were etudes by Rachmaninoff, By Liszt, and as encore was an etude by Scriabin. Very challenging pieces performed almost to perfection. A nocturne such as this one, technically speaking, would be a walk in the park for a kid who 2 years earlier at the age of 12 performed both of the Chopin concertos in a single concert.
Hauntingly beautiful. Kissin was born to play Chopin. No equal.
How about Christian Zimmerman…

Who can compose unearthly music like this. I heard this nocturne for the first when I was in boarding school in England.

この年齢で、この美しい響き。神童の名にふさわしい。しかも可愛すぎる🎶🎶👌👌
I'm late to the party.. but this is awesome, and the mistakes in the middle section just show how freaking hard this really is. I don't mind mistakes.
That's not what matters anyway! People shouldn't mind about..

One of my favorite pianists.
Rubinstein is the greatest Chopin interpreter. What a sound !❤
If there is a mistake I’m sure Chopin can forgive him…….my soul is filled…….

@@PorscheGT-yj2me 😮
He was 16 when he played this @Dane M
@@Khloeevanspiano no, he was 15, in the description it says may 1987(he was born in 1971 october)
This guy really gets into to core of the song. But I wish he played it just a little more faster. Like 1.05x or 1.1x
There's no bright in Chopin's music.
Why?
