    Thanks for the review! A lot of things to consider, and you covered them all very well. Still gathering info about rear bumpers, this was a huge help. Be well and see you on the trails!

    Great video. I just finished and installed the CO front bumper and think they did a great job designing such an easy to assemble kit. Thanks for calling out some of the design considerations to build in along the way. I do think locking the swing outs open would be really helpful, especially if you install a table on the back of the arms. I also agree that cutting the bumper end caps is a little weird. I may try to find some extra steel to extend the side up to the body line. Thanks for the great video!

    Don't let them catch you with two licence plates!

    • @CascadiaOverlandCrew
      @CascadiaOverlandCrew  Před 2 lety

      Haha for sure! The NWT plate is pretty well hidden when the swing-outs are closed and really only visible up close, so I am hoping not to get pulled over ;)

    • @CascadiaOverlandCrew
      @CascadiaOverlandCrew  Před 2 lety

      LOL following up to your comment - got pulled over for speeding and they asked us to remove the second plate. They just asked us to remove it no ticket or anything, which we have now done. Also asked us to install lights that illuminate the license plate (that was a... fun... project, but done!)

    Idk about the 4th gen but for the 5th gen they make a full size rear bumper and a lo profile rear bumper. Just bought the 5th gen full rear bumper and took it to my buddies shop to get it put together.

    • @CascadiaOverlandCrew
      @CascadiaOverlandCrew  Před 2 lety

      Yeah I don’t believe the 4th gen had the full size rear option, or this is it. Congrats on the bumper! It’s going to look sick!

    Update on my victory 4x4 rear bumper I was rear ended by a Honda Accord at about 25mph no damage to my rig little scuff I told my wife to get pic of the car it wasn't drivable got the radiator she didn't get pic 😔

      @CascadiaOverlandCrew  Před rokem +1

      Holy damn! I’m glad you’re ok and the vehicle is ok too. Those victory 4x4 bumpers look nice, just so expensive (especially in Canada). I’m still pretty happy w/ the coastal offroad considering the cost and the fact that it’s on my vehicle haha

      Yepp looked into both Vistory and CBI, the cost was a big concern coming to Canada + border was closed (still is unfortunately) to Canadians going into the US so we couldn't just have them shipped to our friend's place and then get it there.

      @@CascadiaOverlandCrew shipping wasn't that great for me eitherand the wait time isn't that great either it took quite a long time for them to build it it's a build-to-order kind of thing also going from Kalamazoo Michigan to Florida

    Great video, I was looking at a full set for my Ram but I think I'll spend a little more on the Expedition One. How do you like your icon wheels?

    • @CascadiaOverlandCrew
      @CascadiaOverlandCrew  Před 2 lety +1

      Love the icon wheels! They look great and haven't had any issues with them - they don't scratch easily either

    • @Troche571
      @Troche571 Před 2 lety

      Did you pick up the rim protectors? I actually use a chemical guys jet seal on all my wheels. But I'm going with Icon Stage 5 or Carli, and a full set of the same wheels in black. I wouldn't mind a set of Hutchinson DOT beadlocks but they're almost double the cost.

    • @CascadiaOverlandCrew
      @CascadiaOverlandCrew  Před 2 lety

      @@Troche571 hmm nope, running without rim protectors. I've scraped them on rocks and haven't seen any major scratches on them so far (knock on wood). Then again, we don't go rock crawling or anything in this vehicle since it's a more overlanding build rather than a hardcore offroading one. Same reason I didn't bother with beadlocks, unless you're going hardcore rock crawling I don't think beadlocks are really necessary anyways so why not save the money

    Is there any legal issues with front and back steel bumpers going on Highway? I am hearing things now that it can be a issue. I live in Vancouver BC as well.

    • @CascadiaOverlandCrew
      @CascadiaOverlandCrew  Před 2 lety +1

      Nope, I know lots of people w/ front and rear bumpers and there are no issues that I have heard of. We got pulled over and the only issue was the license plate light, so I installed a couple of lights and the cop had nothing to say about the rest of the bumper.
