  • Happy Sunday, everyone!
    Here is a little review on the Benro BV10 and wow! What a tripod for that price!
    And to answer the question is it better than Manfrotto? Well... it's a strong contender and you know me! The right tool for the job!
    This video is not sponsored, it is simply my opinion after owning the BV10 for an extended period of time and getting a huge amount of use from it. :)

    What tripod do you own? What made you get that particular tripod? I'd love to know! xx

      Great Review Felicia - About to pick up a BV8 (I hope) - would love the BV10, just not available from a shipping perspective for the time I need it. From what I can see BV8 and 10 are as close as similar as possible, just the weight carrying difference mainly...?

      Thanks very much! Yeah that's about the only difference. For the price, so good!

      I just got the BV 10. was looking at others but got it at the price point at $30 more than the BV8 system. Price made this for me and it works great! Just rigged out my Sony PXWZ90 system which comes in at almost 9 pounds.

    refreshing difference from the usual sponsored drivel, great to hear some actual feedback after usage in the field, thank you!

    Your review is SPOT ON! I had the very same experience with my manfrotto tripods. The Benro BV 10 and Twin legs I just purchased for $689 American $. While waiting for it I love your review and you have inspired me. My Camera will be the Canon C300 MKII and sometimes with a teleprompter.

    How's you Benro BV10 holding up? Would love to see an update video!

    Great vid but a suggestion is to show using the tripod rather than just explaining things. Visuals go a long way. Like balancing the gear, etc.

    Can your bowl be removed so you have a flat option for little sliders? I've done that with other Benros before. So versatile!

    • @flickcine
      @flickcine  Před 6 lety +1

      I haven't actually seen that it can do that. Not too sure this one can but that is awesome!

      This Benro tripod uses a bowl and does not have the flat top and post as the smaller Benro models do. The answer is no on this . You CAN however use the tripod top plate and attach this to the Slider, gaining you more flexible adjustment leveling on the head instead of relying on adjusting the legs for leveling. And we have used $5k tripods on down to Manfrotto, The Benro for the money tramples Manfrotto in every way and comes very close to holding its own against the higher priced tripods.

      As far as I know with this setup, you have a screw that comes out the bottom of the bowl that should be able to be unscrewed so the flat part of the bottom of the bowl will sit on top of a slider…But I can’t completely confirm this yet.

      @@rossprohaska6263Yes th at is the case it’s on a Benro marketing video so can 😊be done.

    It is a great tripod and head for the price. I have one with the carbon fibre solo legs and its unbeatable for value for money.

    • @flickcine
      @flickcine  Před 5 lety +1

      Absolutely agree with you there! There are really only miniscule design quirks with the these legs but the head for that value is perfect!

    Love the review. You think this is a good tripod for a RED EPIC? Hoping to make it to Australia 2022 🇦🇺!!

    • @flickcine
      @flickcine  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah it could be good! Provided your camera rig doesn't max out the payload of the tripod it should be ok. ☺️

    The curved slot in the 1/4-20 or 3/16 screw is more of a 'standard' then the square cut slot, especially on Broadcast gear and higher end Film gear - Sony used to supply a metal disc with their VCT's specifically for it, but the shape and size of the curve is to match a US "quarter" coin.
    An Aussie 10cent coin is nearly a perfect fit.
    I've had a Manfrotto since 1998, it needs the leg locking clamps adjusted about every six months, newer ones do seem a little less up to the old Manfrotto standards, especially around the plastic parts.
    My Cion sits on an E-Image tripod that was a run-out special, the Benro is high on the list for long term for price vs quality & features, I'd love a Vinten with carbon legs,.. but who can afford that! :D

    • @flickcine
      @flickcine  Před 6 lety

      Hmmm maybe on older gear. It's definitely not common now. Vintens aren't bad.

      Hey, LucaSimon! Thanks for the kind words :)
      Cameras for Vlogging can be quite difficult to find. Have you had a look at the Sony A7S or R series? The only real issue is not being able to see yourself as the screen doesn't rotate around. I use the A7r II. If you are looking for a monitor, Small HD are a great brand to look at. They have some small focus monitors that can mount to the hot shoe on the top of most DSLRs/Mirrorless cameras. There's also a new Canon Mirrorless camera, the Canon EOS M. They have a rotating screen. Hope this helps!

    Hi Felicia, love your channel - A question - does this work with an fs7? What would you recommend for a fs7ii? I am trying find a budgetish tripod for mine

    • @flickcine
      @flickcine  Před 4 lety +1

      This definitely works with the FS7. Also depends on what rigging, accessories and lens you are using. So as long as everything you're using ads up to less than the payload for the tripod it will work. 👍👍

    Chinese product with a lot plastic, it is not better than Manfrotto!

    • @EVRevolution
      @EVRevolution Před rokem

      Maybe but at half the price they are really good. I’ve been using a Benro KH25P entry tripod $199 CAD for 4 years. 0 issues always works great. I just rigged out my video system now so it is much heavier and needed to look at a better tripod system and wanted fluid head with counter balance and pan/tilt resistance level. I just got the BV 10 and it works fantastic!
