Just got mine in the mail today. czcams.com/users/postUgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U The corners of the box was a little smashed but I think that’s more of the shipping’s fault. iPad was in perfect condition though. I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.
And this is exactly why i stopped repairing these, what a PITA!!!!

If anyone else is thinking about doing this bit yourself some valve clearance adjusters. You’ll save yourself the pain of butchering all the glass into pieces, they just slide down the back of the glass without breaking the glass.
To anyone reading, it goes without saying that haters will hate and most people are aware that haters are essential to maximizing views; what is decreasing, is some people's ability to distinguish between the haters and those whom take the time to offer what is called " constructive criticism". It seems to be rare nowadays that you'll find appreciation for such an act, which I have no problem with but to be labeled a hater when you're actually just criticizing in a way that offers potential for improvement is frustrating.

While ESD is not critical while working on ipad or other electronics in general, it is critical during handling of main boards, PCBs and memory.

You should have started from top to bottom when separating the digitizer from the LCD.. just a thought..

is soldering necessary or can it be done without it
you could put mylar or a guitar pick under battery connector without removing it. Just slide under starting from battery side. obviously using great care and a steady hand! so many videos don't show it all, good job even tho bit wrekless for my liking. I tried one samsung phone part cost over 200, I had it completed accept for a corner sticking up, I gently pressed down and the screen broke! forget ever doing those again! may have been simple fix if screen didn't break but not worth happening twice..... anyway thanks for the vid, now I know what i am getting myself into

Typically an iPad's digitizer is a separate component from the LCD itself so it is doable.
is the lcd and touch screen of ipad air 2 fused?

If you looked at the iFixit teardown, you would know that the battery has spring connectors under the logic board.
we all have to learn sometime.
you need a silicone matte for your machine it seals it to the glass and holds the suction

I have a question: Once You separate the digitizer from the LCD, what about after??? Could we pool out the LCD and the digitizer without glue? Could we close the iPad in this way as it is on iPad Air for example? Is this possible? Or we have to put glue and to be as a brand new screen and everything to be together?
You’ll need an OCA glue/film

@@vinniepooh once you’ve separated the screen(digitizer) from the LCD. highly recommended to use a product called OCA remover 8333 it’s a liquid like that will remove the old adhesive and is made for LCDs. Then you’ll have to apply the new OCA film, this can be found in AliExpress NOK 244.72 | OCA Glue Adhesive Double For iPad Air 2 LCD Screen 9.7 Inch 250um Thick Film Replace 5/10/15Pcs/Lot

You won’t need the debobbe machine it’s optional step as long as you place the OCA film On without leaving bobbles.
you don't have to disconnect the battery.there are connectors underneath mother board who connect with battery flexy when you tight the screw.so don't struggle

The phones are bloody easy to do.... Tablets are a lot harder and take much longer . Tip !! .... Wear safety glasses. I have done loads but one piece of glass in the eye and you will wear safety glasses all the time for this job.
To adjust the suction strength on the vaccuum pump, open it up and use a ceramic driver on the trim pot while the vacuum pump is on and you will hear the difference as you VERY SLOWLY turn the pot. Note: The pot is on the PCB encased in the metal with the holes. Hit me back if you need more help on this. I fix these chinese pieces of shit and mod them out to be much more accurate adding higher quality ceramic heating elements and TC's. Its important to have 2 to 3 TCs placed under the plate connected to a digital thermemeter to get the exact temps on the heat plates in different areas. There is only one TC (thermalcouple) on the big plate and the temp reading comes from that spot only.
