    Hi! I just found your channel and I love it! As a more casual/fitness runner I find you less intimidating than many coaching/instruction videos I've watched because you're just being you and sharing your knowledge. (No shade on any other creators; we find what works for us!)
    I'm a bit confused though. I'm halfway through the runtime, and have no clue _what_ "fartlek training" is? Don't see it anywhere else in your video titles, description, nothing. Sure I could go look it up but that would take me away from your channel and I might forget I started here.
    If I'm missing some key detail please let me know, but if not may I recommend, towards the beginning of the video, including a brief definition of a named concept that's featured in the video?

      You're right I haven't fully explained Fartlek training! I had a video explaining it but wasn't happy with it so the new one is currently being edited. It will be uploaded later this month. (apologies for the delay, I'm too picky sometimes!)
      To give a brief explanation Fartlek translates to speed play. It is essentially an easy run with fast sections. Similar to intervals however it is less strict.
      Your faster sections in Fartlek have no defined duration, pace or amount of efforts. It's a very loose session. As a rough session break down it would be a warm up followed by easy running with lets say 6 efforts. These efforts can be trigged by anything you decide. May every time you join a new road or maybe every time a new song starts on your playlist (headphones required for that one 😂) You would then push however hard you feel for however long you like. Usually not for huge distances maybe for 30 seconds or a minute. You would do these efforts as and when you feel always returning to an easy pace and then have an easy cool down.
      That is a very rough breakdown of Fartlek. The video will go into more detail and have some example sessions for you to try! Hopefully this can get you started though.

      @@BobThomasUltra Thanks for the reply, and for the explanation! This seems really useful, especially as someone not training towards something in particular but trying to build strength and endurance.
      I'll be watching for that upcoming video, and meanwhile learning a lot about interval training and long, slow runs. Cheers and happy trails!
