Had a short hop over the DTS. Some clouds were in the way so I decided to file IFR and shoot the approach. Hope you all enjoy it. INSTA- Mullin.Henry TikTok- Mullin.Henry
Love these videos as I'm getting started myself. It's always enjoyable to listen to pilots who are comfortable working the radio and who also have good routines completing the checklists....keeping procedures to commercial pilot standard!
I'm 25 hrs toward achieving my dream of flying at 50, I enjoyed watching this flight and you're an amazing pilot. Your very well spoken and learned a bunch while pretending i was flying in the side seat next to you.
Nice video I own a debonair working on instrument rating. Great job at staying ahead of the plane on this short busy flight. I really like your flows and backing it up with your checklist. I took a study break found this video just to see when you drop the gear. 😊
Currently on my PPL journey, about a month in. Expecting finishing in about 5 more months. Keep up the good work. Those controllers talk really fast it’s hard for me to understand some of them sometimes 😂
So yesterday I went on my first flight ever. Was inspired by this. Flew a cessna 172 and the instrctor actually had me do the lift off, till 2500 ft then 3500. Then I did one maneuver which is the sharp/steep turn. He did the stall and drop maneuvers though i was too scared to even attempt those haha!
Love these videos! I had one question, when doing this RNAV into RWY 14, from your north position, why did you not have to do the hold in lieu once you crossed ILOPE? Was it because ATC said "cross ILOPE at 2000, cleared RNAV 14"? Or was there a different ATC instruction that we did not hear that let you know you did not have to do the HILO? I am still trying to understand when you do and don't have to do the HILO. Thanks in advance for answering!
Hey Henry! I also fly an A36. Are you throwing approach flaps into take off procedure because of runway length? I’ve just never heard anyone else do that..
I have an 85 model so in my year the POH says approach flaps shortens take off distance. Also I’ve just always done it that way so it’s normal practice for me
@@henrymullin1836 Gotcha, that makes sense! It seems like the safer option, just hadn’t seen that before outside of short or soft field takeoffs. Thanks for the reply, I’m enjoying your videos… I also love KDTS
I noticed your yoke is slightly to the left when you are straight and level, both on auto pilot and when you're hand flying. Is this a camera angle thing, are you a little misrigged, or a little uncoordinated?
I might have edited out when he said direct ILOPE but regardless after reviewing the chart you are correct I should’ve clarified with ATC straight in or the Proc turn
Another enjoyable video. I am 76 and becoming a pilot is one of my 'roads not travelled', so appreciate you sharing your already impressive skills
I am inside your walls
Same

Nice work Henry!
Thanks bro
When did you start flying?😊 How old were you when you got your pilot license, IFR, and your IMC? How many flight hours do you have?
This is so cool. Going to start learning myself soon. Do you plan to become an airline pilot in the future or keep flying a hobby?
How’s you get jepp plates on ForeFlight?
how do you afford the plane?
Nice job. What mount are you using for the ipad on the window?
Nice Bo. 😊
What mount are you using for the iPad?
Bro flys like he’s playing basketball the way he be pops his shirt😅
Yo Henry, which kneeboard are you using? There's about a million different choices to choose from, yours looks pretty simple and functional.
I got mine from lift. They were selling them at Oshkosh 2 years ago like half off so I just bought it and love it

Good catch. It was misrigged. As of today I have gotten it all checked out and She flies straight.
One day we will all get our pilots license.
Curious as to why you did not fly the Proc Turn at ILOPE?
I might have edited out when he said direct ILOPE but regardless after reviewing the chart you are correct I should’ve clarified with ATC straight in or the Proc turn
Such a pro.
I’m curious how many hours you have and what your plans are with aviation. Keep the videos coming!!!
why'd you stop uploading??
How did you get the approach plate on the map?
foreflight pro plus does that
Henry, I love your videos. But please stop tugging at your t-shirt all the time. Thanks 😉
you're talking wayyyy too fast for us novices.
