I'm getting ready to start a new project and I think I want to use variegated thread. This was a great reminder of things NOT to do! LOL I'm sure I will save lots of time and frustration now that I've watched the video.
Yes, please take my knowledge so you don't have to learn the hard way like I did! It took me three tries before I was happy with the result.

I've been cross stitching for over 40 years , never liked varigated floss, never got good instructions but yours are terrific.

I'm tempted to use variegated floss! I love the what not to do tips that are always provided.
Why does Danish method use less floss waste than English method?
Lastly, when you first started making these videos, you talked way too fast that I had to adjust playback speed to slow. I'm not sure if you practiced but now I can listen on regular playback speed! This is a huge compliment from me as I'm a fast talker and I find it hard to slow down!!!
Great video. One question though, you mentioned we should not start with the loop method. How do we start then?
Check out the recent video on the channel with different start methods. Either stitching over the tail or using the waste knot method should be fine!
Can you railroad if variegated floss
A pattern I have calls for variegated floss and says to use the Hildebrandt stitch and not sure what that stitch is.
Did something happen to Nugget? I haven't seen the little guy in a while...
Loved the video, but please clean your fingernails next time, it was very distracting,and yucky
They were unfortunately stained with wood stain at the time; no amount of scrubbing would do. Fortunately they've grown out since then. Sorry!
