Whats so awesome about this eyeshadow look is shes isn't using a bunch of different eyeshadows from a bunch different pallets! Shes literally using one pallet and the colors shes using is ones that everyone usually has in a neutral eyeshadow pallet! Thanks for sharing!!!!
Omg I did this one time wish green eyeshadow with melt cosmetics smoke palette and I loved it! Dark shadow on the inner and outer corner is soooo pretty and slept on. Love this look :)
It would be hard bc with a cut crease you create a lid. Honestly you could try just treating your hood like her lid and just bring everything up higher, also shape it a little more cat-like, the loose shape here would look too wild on your eye shape
I loved this vid so much & love seeing how you do your makeup! Even though there are so many older tutorials out there, it’s so fun and refreshing to see you still do vids like these still because I feel like not many people do these anymore. Also love the new live series on your IG! You’re amazing (and anyone else who’s reading this is amazing too hehe) 💜
I WANNA THANK YOU SOOOO MUCHHHHH , I struggled for about 1-two years to figure out the best placement for eyeshadow for me, in a way that is non time consuming and easy but also looks professional, while I've had successful tries, your spotlight eyeshadow is an amazing technique that works so well for me, thanks soo much. I just used it today and got compliments! on a big occasion! awesome :D
I got the Crest Whitening Emulsions after your video featuring it and OMG it’s the best! My teeth are too sensitive for the Whitestrips but the Whitening Emulsions gives me ZERO pain or sensitivity. My teeth were really stained and yellow and this has given me a major confidence boost 😊 Thank you letting me know about it!! Also really love this eye look, I feel like it’s sultry but not too much 🥰
I’m definitely trying this 😍😍😍 sooo in love especially that i always thought dark shadow in my inner crease made my eyes look sad in a way SO THANK YOU for the tip ❤️❤️❤️
I really love this video! It’s so informative & it isn’t pushing any product, it’s teaching you something & since most of us are wearing a mask it’s great to focus on eyes!!!! ❤️❤️
love this look melissa ! as soon as you put down that winged brown eyeshadow you reminded me so much of olivia wilde its unreal, so i guess it is a very sultry look !
wow thanks I often struggle with outer corner..I discovered the dark brown shadow that I have is not that great but I agree packing it on is the best way to go. this is a great look thanks😃 I also often bring shimmers up to the brow bone with glam looks..it adds oomph. a great classic.
Thank you for this tutorial. I’m definitely going to try it out. I don’t have that same exact palette but I can pull similar shades from another palette..💚💜💚
I cannot thank you enough for this pro-makeup tip/tutorial! I tried this right after watching this video and holyyyy shiiitt it changed how my entire face looked and I looked like a supermodel! 😂 I will do this look forever and always in all weddings heeheee heee. 😌 Love you and your work Melissa!
When I wear shadow this is how I do mine!! It’s easy and looks good. Transition shades tend to just make my tiny eyes look closed off and rounded... and it seems to happen every time I use more than 2 shades on my lids for some reason... probably bc I was doing a full transition and a lid color and an outer corner color..was just too much for my smaller eyes I think! so this was my modification. 😂 thank you!!
So when you do this do you not add an inner corner highlight (that doesn’t take away from the inner dark part)? The look is beautiful on you, cool technique! I will have to try
Im going to try this on my super deep set eyes! Whenever I do a normal halo eye it makes my eyes look so sunken in because of all the dark shadow on my inner corner, so this could be a better version!
Because of my natural “hawk” eye shape, I cannot put dark colors in my inner corner like that. Otherwise, my eyes completely disappear haha but I am certainly a fan of putting shimmer in the crease. ND and PMG shadows first led me to it because of how they’re formulated. Loved this video though. You’re such a great teacher and I greatly appreciate these technique-focused videos.
This technique shouldn't make your eyes smaller because melissa doesn't bring the brown eyeshadow into her crease which closes the eye most of the time. Try it out 😊
This is awesome for not having a lot of lid space. I struggle with all the basic eyeshadow tuts here with defining the crease but I wanna try this one because I don’t have tons of lid space either
Thank you for your recommendations girls, unfortunately I have never found anyone with the same kind of fleshy top bags on my hood. I need a push-up bra for those bags 😂😂😂
This vid feels like old school CZcams (of course minus your amazing lighting and video quality 🤪), but I really miss these quick tip makeup tutorials!
As someone who really dislikes the perfect Instagram eyeshadow look, I live for tutorials like this!

Oh my gosh!! You need to start your Quick Tip Tuesdays again! I loved that
Omg I did this one time wish green eyeshadow with melt cosmetics smoke palette and I loved it! Dark shadow on the inner and outer corner is soooo pretty and slept on. Love this look :)
Love your tips!! You’re the person who influenced me to bring my eyeshadows higher since I have little lid space - it makes such a difference! 💕
what tips do you have for hooded eyes I love this look but not for my eyes 😫
Yup, I would like to know how hooded eyes could do it too?
Same.
I was just going to comment this!

Same here! I have hooded eyes and I’d love to get tips on how to do this
I have Asian eyes and tried your techniques. It works!!! And it is absolutely different than what I’ve seen by other tutorials. Game changer!

There's something really sexy about this placement! I think even my ancient 55 year old eyelids will suit it. Thank you!
Or my 42 y/o hooded 👀 😉

Love this look! Definitely just in time for the holiday season
I love this!!! 😍😍 Thank you for this!!!
I wear my shadows high too !
People with small asian eyes like mine are so scared to bring their shadows up but it does open up the eyes more 😍
Oh! I really like it! 😍
I have this palette can't wait to try this exact look!! 😍😍
just gorgeous 💗
I do this sort of look too because I feel it flatters deep set eyes.
I got excited when you said the M213 brush because I recently bought it lol. I love it for the lower lash line!
Omg I love this😍😍😍
Melissa your tips are always so helpful and you are just stunning. Love your videos! 💄❤️
Love that you used this palette! I just got the green one, it’s so beautiful. But definitely gonna order that palette you used now.

Thank you for this tutorial. I’m definitely going to try it out. I don’t have that same exact palette but I can pull similar shades from another palette..💚💜💚
Thank you 🙏 I needed something different for my close set hooded eyes Lol!
Wow it’s that easy!!!! This is truly one of the best tutorials I’ve seen in a long time.
Beautiful 😍 😍
I think I can do this! Great tutorial!!
omg - i've been using this placement for a couple years and I LOVE IT.
I need a ❤️ button. This look is beautiful and so are you. I can’t wait to try this technique.
I cannot thank you enough for this pro-makeup tip/tutorial! I tried this right after watching this video and holyyyy shiiitt it changed how my entire face looked and I looked like a supermodel! 😂 I will do this look forever and always in all weddings heeheee heee. 😌

I love your videos
I have hooded eyes but I’m going to give it a try anyway 😜😉

Whoa this looks amazing!! Not gonna lie, it's been a long long time since I've worn that much eye shadow!! 😓
Im going to try this on my super deep set eyes! Whenever I do a normal halo eye it makes my eyes look so sunken in because of all the dark shadow on my inner corner, so this could be a better version!
Nice!
I’ll be doing this tomorrow
Thank you chica

I would love to try this out! But I don't know how it would come out with my monolids 🤔
This looks great on you!!! I don't have a lot of real estate on my lids so I'm scared this might make my eyes look even smaller :(
This technique shouldn't make your eyes smaller because melissa doesn't bring the brown eyeshadow into her crease which closes the eye most of the time. Try it out 😊
This is awesome for not having a lot of lid space. I struggle with all the basic eyeshadow tuts here with defining the crease but I wanna try this one because I don’t have tons of lid space either
Hi! I intend to try this tomorrow. Query: why didn’t you use the Mario primer? Is it too much product for this technique? Thanks!
💖💖💖
I absolutely love this look on you, but with my fleshy hooded eyes this is a big no no 😩😊
I have hooded eyes too 😫 can't do much with them
I recomend the channel Makeup by Myrna. She have a hodded eyes
Also Stephanie Lange has a ton of tutorials on hooded eyes
Thank you for your recommendations girls, unfortunately I have never found anyone with the same kind of fleshy top bags on my hood. I need a push-up bra for those bags 😂😂😂
Mine are pretty bad too. Dilan Sabah has the best videos so far that I've found
What eye palette is that?
Hi Melissa, I used go get emailed when you uploaded a video. Do you know why I no longer receive these?
I love the look btw 😁
Where’s the info box with all the products you used?!? 😿I love this tip though! I tired it and it came out 💯
💚💙
