This is the sprightliest, tastiest performance of these I believe I've ever heard. Too often they're sung too slowly, forgetting that they are, first and foremost, dances. My favourites are No. 6 (Ein kleiner, hübscher Vogel), No. 9 (Am Donaustrande), and No. 17 (Nicht wandle, mein Licht). Ah, making me cry!
