Out of all the original characters Toph’s voice actor was the best one to portray an older version of the character.

Love that Toph was able to pinpoint what was Korra's big hurdle, but she wants Korra to push through it herself. Even in ATLA Toph was very wise, and she still kicks ass. lol
I love after all these decades Katara and Toph still have the same mentoring/teaching styles...
Its so interesting that while definitely sounding older, Toph still has that distinct quirky way of talking. The words, the tone, the fluctuations.. you can definitely see a young girl Toph in there. Her voice actress does a really amazing job. Its like they’re the same person. Love it sm since Toph is arguably my fav character in ATLA👍🏽
It's crazy how well Toph and Korra would have gotten along if she met Toph pre-Zaheer.

Since the design of the Gaang kids were made intentionally to match some features of their parents, it would make sense... but who knows

Bringing up Hama got me thinking. So, the wiki says that "Healing is a sub-skill of waterbending that allows the bender to heal wounds; by using water as a catalyst, they can redirect energy paths around the body, concentrating more energy into a wounded area and allowing that area to heal at an accelerated rate." which can work for a lot of minor ailments, but with Jet, it couldn't save him. If Katara had learned bloodbending earlier, and it was a full moon, could she have used it to save Jets life? And furthermore, could bloodbending be used to cure multiple diseases in the Avatar world? It seems like waterbenders could drastically extend the life of people and themselves through using bloodbending to purify the blood in a body thus providing organs with healthy sustenance. I understand why bloodbending was outlawed, but i think they should at least have a program to study the beneficial aspects of the technique. Could charge the White Lotus with overlooking the study to monitor the use for academic purposes only.
Every time I hear this episode title, I think of it as Korra Nation.

Toph dishing out the hard truths as usual. I'm sure Korra does want to get better, but I think there's also a part of her (her subconscious maybe) that doesn't want to get better exactly because of what Toph said. That she doesn't want to get hurt again. I mean, there's no denying that she does get hurt a lot by her enemies *because* of the fact she's the Avatar. All of these issues that has been plaguing Korra for a long time now, it's something that she's going to have to face sooner or later. Toph can help her, but there's only so much she can do for her. In the end, it all comes down to Korra if she's ever going to get better.

Back in Episode 1, Katara told Korra that "My brother & many of my friends are gone," & some fans were upset thinking that she lied to Korra about Toph's death. However, as far as Katara knew, Toph had died since she hadn't seen her in years, & even in Season 3 Suyin said Toph had gone into the woods never to bee seen again.
No one seemed to indicate that Toph was dead, when they were in Zaofu the people seemed to think she was alive. I get how some people could think that Katara was lumping Toph into the category of friends that were gone, but I'm sure Katara knew that Toph wasn't dead. I imagine that Katara gained a lot of friends over the decades.
This confuses me... 'many' isn't 'all'. So... huh?
Hm? Everything Katara said was totally true. Her brother and many of her friends ARE dead. Many, not all. The writers purposefully left it ambiguous enough for fans to speculate about the fates of everybody except Aang and Sokka.

Kuvira having Wu stuff move out the hotel sweep was savage. Even after she announced she will not give back the power during Wu coronation. Which cause a rift from Mako and Bolin and her and Suyin. Man! I gotta get this outta my chest. I love this show. What caught my eye in the first place was the art got an upgrade as well as the animation. The only thing about the whole show that truly bothers me is how poorly Toph aged in this show. She's still awesome but Katara and Lord Zuko were drawn so well. Now, I'm not trying to dis Toph in any way but seriously, even the Fire Nation Priestess was drawn better. Toph looks like a Dick Tracey character. Am i wrong? She was the youngest and cutest child. Even adult Toph looked good.
Don't mind me. I'm just ranting about a silly point. The show is still da dopest in my book. Like I said, my only issue is how she was drawn.
I don’t understand why ATLA main Characters didn’t work together helping each other out to raise their kids and give each other advice how to better handle certain situations with their kids. Toph’s children could’ve turned out better if Katara, Aang and Soka helped her out.
