This dude is cool. Not pretentious or full of himself, like some "ink masters" . . .
Till you realize he's wearing a Supreme shirt O.o..
Candi Soda wearing supreme is no different than Nike or adidas
@@echos9536 nah it's rather "super uncool"
He’s real nice, been tattooed by him once at a convention.
Whoozerdaddy yeah I met him last weekend, he’s cool as hell

My artist around 15 years ago said. "One friend is cool, It's 20$ extra every friend after that, and that chatty friend it's 500$ added".
i feel like this should be a thing
I like this guy a lot, seems like he’s really understanding and loves what he does

Tattooing has got to be the most looked down upon artforms. Honestly an amazing way to express yourself. Keep 'em coming Inked
??? It's just drawing on stupid people with more money than they know what to do with
@@annoythefish Approximately 32 million adults in America are considered to be illiterate. Approximately 130 million American adults have a tattoo.
@Christian Gutierrez Yeah but graffiti I can at least see where people are coming from. It might be amazing art but on the end of the day it's on someone else's stuff. Does this mean I hate graffiti? No. However, I can see getting annoyed at someone painting on my nice shiny building. Tattoos, on the other hand, are on my skin, which is 100% mine so if you don't like it too bad.
annoythefish right, because incredibly smart people (like doctors or lawyers) absolutely never get tattooed. Nor do people ever save up for tattoos....
annoythefish you‘re ridiculous.
He makes you comfortable to get a tattoo. Hope he gets more clients from this video 👍🏿
U gon get bugga
He def will, it’s inevitable
Those types are the best salesmen/women. It's always about sales and money, do your research...use the best artist in your area, just like politics, never listen to the words but watch their actions. Simple common sense goes along way to get what is good for you.
His little giggle is everything lol
“Don’t get a small tattoo in the middle of the arm, especially if you want a sleeve later” oops...
Abby Suh oh no
Abby Suh cover it up cause you fucked up
And here I am with a big ole elbow tat😂😂😂😂😂🤦🏾♂️
Yep. Learning that the hard way as we speak. Just did a cover up of my first tattoo, on the way to my second sleeve....
True I’m coving most of my small tattoos up with my sleeve work lmao!😂 waisted money!
Missed opportunity to call this Tat-do’s and dont’s

I love my hand tattoos, but I heard a thousand doors simultaneously shut all those moons ago. Now I bookkeep for a respectable accountant. Life is funny.
My personal philosophy consists "of judge me not by my attire or body art. Judge me by my bloody character"
If someone declines my employment due to my tattoos, they're not worth selling my time, effort and ingenuity to them for. I think thats fair and not tooooo arrogant.
That doesn’t sound arrogant at all. It’s fair to assume that your time would be wasted by a company that’s not willing to look past tattoos. Of course, that only goes so far; face tattoos are vastly different from knuckle tattoos.
Judging tats is a good red flag for knowing what job to avoid.
While a tattoo doesn't affect your ability to do a job, it would make me question their decision-making ability if they rock up with a face tattoo.
@@tomd5357 tbh ive seen some very tasteful f.tats but its true to say that an absurd amount of people really fuck up with that decision. I won't get my face done till my 40's probably.
"If you're a soundcloud rapper, get your face tattooed." LMAO
*edit*
I also really like this guy! He seems super laidback and chill. Definetly someone I'd like to get a tattoo from.
Excellent, excellent video, homie. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 Vince
This dude is easily one of the most likeable artists they've had on one of these videos. I would totally visit this guy's shop if I was in his neck of the woods.
I love so much that you said Pinterest tattoos are okay. There is definitely some beautiful art out there. Make it your own. Love it!
So glad I can have a series of videos on tattoos, not many channels like this! Thanks!
Glad to have you binge watch with us! For our Tattoo Artists Answer series we play "take a shot for every black shirt you see." Highly recommend.
@@inked oh my god 😂 thanks for that, will def do it next time I binge watch them! 😚💘
This guy right here just got a fan, homeboy hella dope
This kind of advice makes me feel so much better about getting a tattoo
I find most of the tattoo artists featured on this channel are stuck up and judgemental so it's nice to have this guy on here he's a breath of fresh air, and actually seems to enjoy what he does, and cares about the client :)
This guy is honestly the least pretentious tattoo artist I've ever watched, so refreshing to see as some artists are just totally up themselves.
the BEST laugh
why do keep watching all these tattoo videos 😂 I literally don’t ever plan on getting one but these videos are so fun to watch
RJ In LOL
RJ In I have 914 tattoos
RJ In because f these videos now a year later I have all my arms done many chest and back and legs are all covered too now they gave me real solid advice tattoo manners is important my artist always hooks it up with extra shit
Don't ever plan? Maybe not right now. Never ever say never😉
@@deanal-jackson4593 how so? I don't really know anything about justin bieber
I wish there were an episode on aftercare and what your guys’ personal experience is with a client if they happen to come back w some concerns
Silvia Marquez aquaphor
@@GetOffMyy not every artist recommends Aquaphor although I do hear about it alot. When I got mine done they actually told me they advise against it because people put too much on. Instead, they gave me Redemption Tattoo Care, the aftercare cream stuff. It was way easier for me to put a thin layer on that way.
CuteIcingPanda if they put too much on that doesn’t mean it’s a bad product it just means they don’t know how to follow instructions. I have over 12 tattoos and never had an issue with aquaphor. Been using it since I was a teenager.
Secondskin made the process much easier and faster for me if you wanna look it up
i like this idea. They should do that next.
I need a ten hour video of him laughing
Finally!! A really chill artist and cool guy talking extremely sensible.
I like him the most, great guy really chill🤙
BWOOP WOOP WOOP BWOOP WOOP.

i want my first tattoo from this guy. he sounds cool and chill as hell.
Dude got a funny laugh
Woooow. This is how all of these "do's and don'ts" should go. He's such a reasonable person and his laugh is the cutest thing ever.
CZcams keeps suggesting this channel to me and it's working - I'm much closer to getting my first tattoo thanks to these videos
2l
We are here for the cause!
I got my first tattoo at 18 n I promise it’s worth it. Make sure it’s something u like or something u think looks good n just enjoy it. Don’t sweat it n don’t regret it.
See I like the way this guy says tips aren’t necessary they just show how much you liked the work
Omg I love this guy, so down-to-earth, great advice, and his adorable laugh though...!
Wow, you, my friend, have one of the best artist attitudes I've ever come across. It's great to hear these things coming from a serious artist!
i like his energy
I loved this video! He was so entertaining! He needs to be in more videos
I love how humble this guy is
I just did my first tattoo. Its quite big on my forearm and now I am so in love with the idea of more tattoos I wish I could get a sleeve on same arm. Tattoo placement is very important. Let's see what I can do in the coming years
7:50 I learned that the hard way. I'd also say even if you think you're only going to get one tattoo in a place like your arm, plan it like you're getting a sleeve. Then if you want a sleeve later you don't have to compromise with the tattoo you already have. If you never get the sleeve then no problem.
Ah such a pleasant dude!
Love your laugh! Perfect advice!. The only thing I might add is, many people are afraid to say that they think the art is too big for their foot or wherever. There is nothing wrong with asking if it can be shrunk down a little. They end up hating it and go to a different artist after that due to embarrassment. Talk to your artist people!
He tattoos at No Idols in nyc 😄 I highly recommend that tattoo shop!
omg yessss new york
I usually ask for A price but NEVER haggle.
I literally just want to know how much money to get 😂
TheGothick666 Seriously exactly what I’m thinkin every time
Yeah, when some of these artists talk about money it comes off like you can't ask at all. But everyone needs to know how much an artist will charge for the piece. That doesn't mean they will start haggling. You do want to know if you can even afford that artist or that you need to save a little longer if they are really the artist you want.
@Victoria Ascencio he isn't saying there isn't, just that it's nice to be prepared and be able to set aside a reasonable amount specifically for the tattoo
They charge by the hour, so by "asking A price" it's more of "how long do you, insert tattoo artist, think this will take". And then save a larger sum for the sitting, just in case!
Foreal. Honestly it’s never wrong to ask for an estimate because you don’t wanna come up short when it’s time to pay.
This guys open minded and understanding/reasonable, would definitely try to get a tattoo from him
Down to earth fella. Good concise answers, probably the best one of these I've seen.
Thanks for the chest tattoo advice, I'm getting one next week!
I went by myself and I was praised for my lack of movement when I got my forearm done. And I completely understand what he is saying. Sure I kinda regret getting my whole forearm done but oh well, what's done is done
Tattoo artists are literally the chillest people
he has such a great vibe to him, seems like a chill ass dude
his laugh is contagious I love it
His laugh is amazing 😂
Hes so chill not pretentious at all like I'd feel comfortable asking questions and genuine advice
This dude is so chill. Love it, and great advice.
This guy is the man, wish I could get something done by him
Love this interview ^__^
Thanks inked and Jon Mesa! Good info.
I love his little laugh, he's so handsome.
The Hygiene part was the funniest part! XD
I wanna get tattooed by this guy 👍
I like this artist! Most artists are straight STUCK UP! Love this dude.
He’s so chill I love him
Jon Mesa is so laid back and chill, dude is cool. Would be the shit to get some ink by him.
He said it but I'll remind yall, drink water and eat before your tattoo or you'll pass out I've seen it happen. This is definitely the best video I've seen on here
Somehow, this popped into my recommended (I’m 21 male and don’t have tattoos, although I’m an ex heroin addict so I want one on the crook of my right arm to cover the scars). So idk anything about tattoos, but this dude is cool af! Like seriously, he was entertaining and genuine. Cool video!
love how chill he is
he’s so down to earth and i love that !
My favourite artist on this channel
Also his laugh is everything.
What a chill dude. So many on these videos come across as pretentious db’s.
Would love to get my other sleeve from him.
I always bring my artist a drink and snack as well because I want him to have energy and be in a good mood while he does my work.
I just got my first tattoo and it was inspired by on I saw on Pinterest. My artist made it her own and I loved it!!
My man! His shop is nyc is my go to. Tons of talented artist in that studio. Dude is working on my halfsleeve and im already getting tons of compliment on his work.
His laugh is everything ❤️
he seems like a great person, very chill! I'd definitely get tattooed by him
Thank you Jon! I’m deciding on whether I get my first tattoo or not. This really helped guide me!
Great video with a lot of good advice. Thank you.
It’s so nice to see someone in the industry not being a gate keeper, so many of these videos have tattoo artists hating on certain styles or types of clients, let people live and do what they want with their bodies!
Good video John, getting my neck done now, I think it may be my favorite haha
When I got my sleeve, told my artist what I wanted (Greek Gods) mostly realism. After that I trusted him to take his skill and put it on paper then my arm. Best decision I’ve ever made!
Exactly. My back piece and first tattoo I gave the artist a general concept and said to make it their own. Best tattoos on me
Man this dude is so damn chill.
What excellent advice from a super chill dude! Wow!
As for the free rein clients I told my artist that I really want to get a half sleeve done but I wanted it to have something to do with owls and literature, otherwise she could do whatever she wanted. I think it's kind of fun to see what the artist comes up with.
Omg his laugh is adorable
This was a very helpful and interesting video!
I love everything about his energy
He lowkey looks like Masvidal.
High key
I want this guy tattoo me he seems super chill
I got recommended an Ink masters episode on FB now I know a ton and am contemplating getting one.
Hope u guys hit 300k soon!!
such a cool guy
Love his laugh 🥰
He has the most adorable giggle lol
Been following Jon Mesa since 2014! He so talented and handsome 😂😍
Legit the cutest laugh ever
Yea I get why Pete Davidson gets inked by this dude, he's cool as hell
@John Ratray who the tattoo artist or Pete Davidson and why?
He is so genuine.
Love this guys vibe.
