    Sir, quick question… how can I use your presets with the XR IRs? I’d like to have Mr Reed amps in high definition too 🤍

    Quick question 🙋🏻‍♂️ im really happy with the sounds I’m achieving with your artist Line 6 patch for my pod go! So thank you. But when I take my in ears out I feel like my guitar in the house sounds washed out. Almost like there is not a lot of distinctions like way to much verb… if I dry up my sounds do you think I will get a cleaner more effective sound?

    • @joshuachan6931
      @joshuachan6931 Před rokem

      I think they can have heaps of verb because the Bethel room is treated and dialled to the max - they aren't getting many reflections in the house.
      Here's Luke Hendrickson's explanation on it about reflections and mixing which might help! czcams.com/video/5fnZdHCkbEs/video.html
      And yes, I think if your room has heaps of natural reflection, you could probably dial back the verb and delay.
      The guys on our team sat in the room and heard their gear from front of house. It was super eye-opening and they made tweaks to suit the room.
      Give it a go maybe mid-week and it will help heaps!

    What pickups are you using in the Veritas?

      I think he has a Modern PAF in the bridge and a Pure PAF in the neck. Fralin Pickups

    Hey, so one thing I have noticed about this preset, and I hear it on my helix with others as well is that the really overdriven tones have this kind of gritty nasty character to them? Is this a helix thing? Maybe it’s the reverbs and how they interact with the drives? Am I just crazy? lol

    • @nathanstoll7712
      @nathanstoll7712 Před rokem +2

      Could be a few things. What you are using to monitor your sound, what pick ups are in your guitar.

    • @itsaaronmiller
      @itsaaronmiller Před rokem +2

      I notice the exact thing. Seems to be worse with more reverb too

    • @Ryky_Legg
      @Ryky_Legg Před rokem +1

      @@nathanstoll7712 I’ve used various guitars with single coils, filter trons and buckers. Doesn’t seem to make a difference.
      As for monitoring, I’ve used studio monitors, some mixing headphones, airpods, I hear it on all of them.

      So, some parameters in the helix amp blocks can help with this. Both Bias and Bias X will have an effect on how smooth the drive clipping sounds. I believe if you go bias higher and bias X lower, you will get a warmer and smoother drive and vice versa. I may be getting the two confused though, but those two parameters will make a big difference, as well as sag.
      Note, I do not have this preset yet but plan on getting it sometime this week.
      When you adjust the sag, you’ll likely have to boost some treble in the amp as it does tend to darken the tone a touch. Bias adjustments will also effect your volume output slightly. Let me know if this helps!
