It's yet another flowering season for lotus. I found some lotus flowers, leaves, rhizomes, and roots, and made several congenial summer dishes. The rest of the lotus roots were used to make a dessert dedicated to my grandma - lotus powder with sweet osmanthus flowers and nuts. That, coupled with a sip of lotus tea, will make you so happy that you'll sigh about the transience of summer.

The lotus is widely used in Chinese cuisine and medicine. The root is commonly consumed as a refreshing dish. The leaf, flower, and the bud within the seed can also be used as medicine in addition to what she did here. The seed is great for making soup for lowering the "fire" in you and promotes good sleep. The flower is also widely used in Buddhism as it symbolizes the pristine beauty of the flower is unaffected from the muddy water that it grows from.

Boxy Photography Sadly her parents died a long time ago leaving her and I think her brother behind. She was raised by her grandparents and then her grandfather died when she was in the fifth grade. She then later got a job as a DJ to earn more money and all this is what she build herself.

When my mom passed away last year i was lying and staring at the ceiling all day and night. Only your videos were helping me to stand that stress. Thank you so much for all that you doing. Lotus root is a traditional Chinese food. It can be cooked and eaten directly, Fried like video, or ground into a powder and soaked in hot water to make oatmeal. It tastes like potatoes mixed with nuts. It's delicious

I have a friend, whose father is a lotus farmer. Twice a year she would give everyone in the class a handful of fresh lotus seeds bcs her father wanted her to share it with her friends. I had the chance to be in the same class with her for 4 years in highschool. Now i finished my bachelor degree. Never had the chance to eat fresh lotus seeds ever since. Idk where to find it. This video made me miss lotus seeds and my friend 😭

Меня руского человека очень потрясает климат этой горной долины. Большая усадьба, где растут многочисленные растения, в середине организован пруд с чистой, надеюсь горной водой. Там живут пресноводные рыбы. Такая усадьба-мечта! У нас нет такого круглогодичного приятного климата. Думаю только период дождей вам не приятен. У нас для выращивания растений в естественной среде только 4 месяца для корнеплодов и 3 месяца для паслёновых, бахчи. В основном мы выращиваем многое в закрытом грунте, рассаду дома на подоконниках, растения до сбора плодов в теплицах. Но сейчас я хочу сказать спасибо создателю сайта, главной его героини Лизи! Очень красивые , продуманные съёмки! Все продумано, ничего лишнего в кадре. Каждое действие, сбор корней лотоса, мытьё ног, подготовка продуктов, нарезка овощей и корней, жарка, тушение, все превращается съёмкой в особое завораживающее действие! Человек может долго смотреть на подвижную воду, на обузданый огонь, на работающие руки, на красивое созидание в любой сфере деятельности и конечно на природу. Все это есть в роликах Лизи- поэтому не возможно оторваться от просмотров ее картин. Да, да КАРТИН- это красота. Она художник, что бы она не делала, из старого стола, плавающую подачу блюд или вышивку на своем платье- это талантливо и красиво. БРАВО!!! Кричим мы талантам. Браво Лизи! Я стала вашем поклонником.
