10 weirdest horror movies that are also incredibly popular cult horror films
Nightbreed was absolutely fabulous, and the Director's Cut (which added around 45 minutes) was even better!
I'm with you, who hasn't heard of Nightbreed? Especially if you're a fan of Clive Barker. If you've heard of Hellraiser, you know Nightbreed too.
Yeah i was about to say, almost all of these are mentioned on a daily basis.
Nightbreed is truly an underrated gem
10 horror movies you've absolutely heard of because this channel brings them up constantly
😂
Who hasn't heard of Bad Taste? I feel sorry for those people. It was one of the first horrors I was introduced to as a kid.
Surprised to see some of these as they aren't exactly under-the-radar, bottom of the horror iceberg fare.
Heard of them all. Seen them all. I think most horror fans have at least heard of most of them.
They're probably just picking some decent horror movies that they don't usually dickride
10. black sheep
09. bad taste
08. nightbreed
07. santa’s slay
06. aaah! zombies!!
05. slugs
04. the happiness of the katakuris
03. the lure
02. bite
01. tokyo gore police
shocked they didn’t mention fido with all these being mostly known b-movies
Spring would be a good one for the list
Tokyo Gore Police also stars the WONDERFUL Eihi Shiina. Asami from Audition.
I LOVE THIS WOMAN.
I love this movie, I've definitely heard of it AND seen it - years ago.
A movie that I think would fit this list perfectly is Open Grave with Sharllito Copley from 2013
Uh oh, the writers didn't understand the assignment. If you watch this channel, then you're very aware of pretty much all of these movies. Come on guys!
This channel died a long time ago
@@Iamnotcertain now it's as shlocky as the movies in every other one of their videos.
@@Iamnotcertain I kinda think so too.
Tokyo gore police was an anime first.
Nightbreed is an absolute classic (one of my favorites).
Sure maybe your target audience is 12-15 year olds but come on guys get a better list.
Night breed was one of my favorite movies growing up, I'm surprised it hasn't been rebooted.
I can't believe I still haven't seen Santa's Slay. It was filmed where I live!
I have a slug phobia due to a childhood incident. So number 5 would be a hard no.
I'd say most of us have at least heard of all of thesw
Saw Black Sheep, Bad Taste, Nightbreed, Tokyo Gore Police
At this point, I'm pretty sure these lists are being written by people who've never watched a horror movie and are writing from THEIR perspective.
Best intro ever. Seriously. I have seen about half of these. I love obscure horror.
Ellie must have written this list. Bad Taste, Nightbreed, Tokyo Gore Police....who hasn't heard of these??
SLUGS was one of my favorites when i was a kid
thanks for the heads up on "Aah! Zombies!", the only one here I'd never heard of... and must now find a copy!!
Teeth (2007) is another bizarre one not everyone will have heard of
Another one to see is, "Let the Wrong One In". It's a comedy out of Ireland about 2 brothers who became vampires and are out to get the queen vampire. Its a lot of fun
Is that a parody version of Let The Right One In?
@@starscreamthecruel8026 It's not really a parody. It never references that movie. The title has more to do with one of the characters being a screw up. It's a good movie
_Nightbreed_ is, easily, in my top 5 horror movies of all time. Absolutely love it! And the novella (Cabal) is just as good.
Santa's Slay is a guilty pleasure. I enjoyed it and I love Bill Goldberg!
Peter Jackson made "Brain Dead" ("Dead Alive" in some countries) which is very weird as well and also a much better film than Bad Taste.
They showed "Santa's Slay" last October in the 31 days of Halloween. It was stupid. 😂
Good list of lesser known movies. I've seen them all except The Happiness of The Katakuris. LOVED Bite! It's one of those movies that to hear it described might make you just roll your eyes but the execution was outstanding. Bite, Starry Eyes, Borderlands/Final Prayer and Baskin are some of the top movies I suggest when someone is looking for recent but less well known horror movies. Not saying they are all super weird, but they are pretty weird.
Heard of all of them, seen all but 3 of them.
Not a bad list, but I feel like all of these movies are always on this kind of list. So I'll give you 3 of my favorite Horror Movies You've Probably Never Seen/Heard Of -
1. Mulberry St (2006)
2. The Gravedancers (2006)
3. Beyond the Gates (2016)
This list is pretty tame and I feel like you've talked about most of these before. Where is Stacy: Attack of the Zombie Schoolgirls or any of the other really weird Japanese horror you haven't talked about?
Had really hoped not to see Jules again
I have seen 6 of the listed and enjoyed them immensely. But some of these are not that rare.... but depending on your habits they can be difficult to catch.
A few of them I've seen on Pluto...when it was free.
Not only have I heard of all ten of these movies, I've also watched them numerous times over the years since I first seen them!!😊😊
Steve Jackson also Co- Author of the Choose your own adventure books, with Ian Livingstone.
Black sheep is a solid comedy horror but yeah I’ve seen this whole list
I've heard of all but one of them, and have seen most at least once.
Tokyo Gore Police is excellent, others to check out are Robo-Geisha, and The Machine Girl
It would help if these hadn't been on dozens of your prior lists.
Love Slugs and Bite. My favourite B-movie and my favourite Body Horror. Think Black Sheep is a little gem as well. Perfect mix of horror and comedy.
Heres a list of movies you’ve totally seen but we’ll say you haven’t because we’re crap at actually finding hidden gems.
Never heard of?? I've at least heard of most of these.
I actually watched Black Sheep . It was weird but really good!
I've heard of Nightbreed. And actually seen Ahh! Zombies! I thought it was pretty funny.
Black Sheep is hilarious. Santa's Slay is my favorite Christmas movie. I've seen several on this list. Great list though.
👍🏾
lol Nightbreed…um there is a special edition version, I think people have heard of it
I'M A DEREK, AND DEREKS DON'T RUN!
I really enjoyed Black 🐑 I've even got the DVD, Bad Taste enjoyable aswell.
You watched Slugs!!
FINALLY the amazing movie that is Black Sheep makes a list. This movie is so good and should be more well known.
Anyone that’s a fan of horror in general knows about Nightbreed.
Aaaah Lure... It's polish movie and as polish guy I'm glad it got some recognision here... It's quite good. Foreign people may have some hard time to understand everything since it is set in polish "reality" (its hard to explain) but it is worth checking out...
Bite was awesome !! 😍
Lol ! I knew I was weird ! I've seen all but 2 of these movies!
I've heard of 5 on this list haha
Have owned Black Sheep since it came out. Great watched it many times
I watched Nightbreed years ago
you haven't seen Dog House you should. It´s the most hilarious zombie movie from the UK
Anyone know the name of the movie used as the thumbnail?
Seen all oh these, better luck next list. 😂
You’re telling me there’s another little mermaid knockoff with stripper mermaids???
Lure is the only one I haven't seen.
Slugs was a hoot.
Please find the horror movie with the guys that got suck in the vampire house with babys
🥈
Need a little bit more info, but I'm pretty sure I can find that out for you.. it sounds really familiar. Do you know when it was made? 70s and older, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, or 20s?
Is a house that belongs to vampire? Are the babies vampires? Is it American or European, Asian or like Mexican or South American?
Any scenes you remember or other details?
I've helped a lot of people figure out the names of movies over the years.
Everyone of these is a cult favorite
seen all cept number 3
Lots of know-it-all "I have seen everything and everyone who hasn't seen all the stuff that I have is stupid" type of People in these comments. I have heard of about half of these movies and only seen a couple of them and by no means do i only watch mainstream horror movies.
Hell Gate (so awful) and The Refrigerator should have been on the list.
Tokoyo gore police movie based on a awesome anime.
Except for one, I know these weired films rather well. I guess that makes weired too :)
This is what you get when you have to make a video a day.
My favorite parts of these x Movies you never heard from is that they have a million other vids saying hey these are x movies
🎖
Most of these films are infamous within movie buff circles. The only people who would the entire video without recognizing one are people that are stuck squarely in the hollywood mainstream.
I've seen all but 2: The Lure and Aah! Zombies!
Does that say more about me, or WhatCulture - recycling old lists yet again. At least put a new v/o artist on it! Or is Jules freelancing?
Heard of all of these and seen most of them. Really feel like WhatCulture needs to hire some older people who can really help with pulling out some movies that have been lost to time. Instead of Slugs, how about The Nest? Instead of Bad Taste, how about Bad Channels? Frogs? Witchboard? Judgement Night? There are tons of movies out there that modern audiences don't know. Stop churning up the same handful under different lists.
If you watch this channel, you definitely heard of and probably have seen night breed. Come on what culture, you all are getting lazy with these lists.

Who hasn’t heard of nightbreed though?

7th?
they can mine this topic for months on end of obscure horror people have never heard of, and to that it's my bread and butter. helps me to keep my horror list flowing with either gems or piles of turds.
unheard of horror movies by Clive Barker & Peter Jackson & Takashi Miike. cool list
