- Islets is a metroidvania released earlier this year that was a lot of fun. The game has a cool map connecting mechanic, some fun movement, boss fights, and a lot of charm. Hope you enjoy my playthrough!

Snoot just sounds like the Zote of this particular game... although perhaps with a little more self awareness
Zote is little more than a nuisance, Snoot actively goes out of his way to make your life harder.

Goba is the kind of character who can walk through Warzone filled with mines in guns being shot explosives detonating I’m still come out the other side completely unscathed.
Tour frog is funniest character ever, if you collect all ability points, a secret party is unlocked and he is there! He is not dead at all!

Haiku was so good! It’s basically a shorter Hollow Knight which is my favorite metroidvania. I’m thinking of buying this right now

I played this game a few days after it came out, playing this blind is honestly amazing. It’s a great game, and the combat upgrades are unique, though they would probably need some balancing, since by the end of the game you can have a slam attack that reaches a quarter through the screen and gives you invincibility. Regardless, amazing game, 10/10 for me c:

I saw one of this creator’s games (Sheepo, it’s really good highly recommend) and that led me to this game. They’re both labors of love. Glad to see u play it
Skurry please play Ender Lilies someday too, I think it's the best metroidvania ever after Hollow Knight.
I also would highly reccomend Ender Lilies, it was gorgeous and had just the right amount of challenge in it, plus the sound track was really fitting.

Have you heard of Guacameelee? It's another swell metroidvania. It's a little more focused on the comedy side as opposed to the cute side, but I still think you'd enjoy it
If Skur played Guacamelee that would be SICK
Guacamelee is great because if the multiplayer. I don't think there are any other multiplayer metroidvanias.

I really love the cartoony look of this game! My only critique is that some parts feel a bit empty, maybe some more behind foreground, in front of background type of stuff.

This game does kinda suffer from a lot of abilities only being useful in predetermined areas, but it still looks cool! The dev(s) did a great job, and I hope their next game is even better!

As someone who was raised in Inverness florida, I spit out my water when I saw there is a game level with the same name.
This game gave Skurry PTSD of tour guides.
if you want another really good small metroidvania to play I recommend lone fungus. really cool movement and platforming. very good graphics and music too

Every time the boss music starts I can't help hearing Smash Bros Brawl's music.
this looks more like Guacamelee thank Hollow Knight with its movement mechanics but it has more of an emphasis on a fluid-like momentum. i'm a big fan and rly wanna get it

This game was very good, after seeing the vods i was looking forward towards the YT video, while i think a lot of places benefitted from it being cut down (particularly the fetch quests), i did fear some things would lose their impact, fortunately it only really happened once
The cinder island reveal is so impactful and menacing, especially with the music, but it lost a bit of that due to the editing, as light as it was
Still a great video tho

this game seems really cute!!! if you're looking for more cute indie games that seem like your style i'd suggest Wandersong and Tunic, though neither of them are metroidvanias . Wandersong is made by the same guy who made Chicory (the rest of the crew is mostly different though) and it's about a bard trying to stop the world from ending! Tunic is a zelda-like game where you play as a little fox and try to uncover secrets and stuff! the main gimmick is that there's an ingame manual with a decipherable language.. but idk how interesting that would be to do on stream tbh

The game looks a bit derivative but the ideas definitely are interesting... the map connecting is functionally basically just locked doors, but it's a cool new way to think about spaces, and roguelike-style mutually exclusive choices upgrades in a permanent-progression game sounds really neat for replayability. I think the only thing it really needed to not come off as a bunch of ideas from Celeste and Hollow Knight mixed together is a bunch of mysterious flavor text (e.g. instead of calling the climb ability "Climb" call it the "Squirrel Gauntlets" or something which evokes some feeling and connects to the rodent theme)
