You know your childhood stories remind me of when I was little used to live in Texas but when my dad got a job in Michigan and now we live there
I had a similar story this one i was at my grandmas house and i had a hobby of jumping off the last three steps and my mom always told me not to do it but I never listend so this one time i did it forward and my genius self taught since i can do it forward i can probably it backwards and backflip (which i can’t do 💀) so i jumped backwards my to front teeth pierced my lip and i made a small whole at my bottom lip which is healed now but this all happened in covid so i had to where a mask every where thankfully but it whould bleed and it would have puss in it as it was healing and i never went to the doctor morale of the story dont jump of your steps backwards or at all just walk like a normal person and thank you mom i’ve learned my lesson ❤

That all sounds so brutal! I feel so bad for sister and especially your dad! You may not remember it but I can imagine that would indeed be incredibly traumatic for your family. Even more so, because your dad would then go on to pull your arm out of it's socket three years later!

It is a pretty common reaction since kids don't inherently have fear or know they should be freaking out because something is wrong. When I was 3 I hurt myself and needed to go to the hospital. My dad, mom, and grandfather were all freaking out as they drove me to the house, stuck bandaids on me, and drove me to the hospital. My other grandfather (a doctor) was calm so I was calm, but 3 days later when I ran into a pillar and reopened the wound (and caused more damage), I remember thinking the equivalent of "Mommy made a big deal so I should tell her it happened right away." I was fine the first time, but I made a commotion the second time because my parents had previously.
