    what messi and ronaldo create in world of football is amazing. When you talk about Cristiano you think about messi, when you talk about messi you think about cristiano. Whenever there is a conversation, their rival will also be mention and thats how strong their impact in this sport. No matter what their individual fans says about their GOATs, you just have to be amazed how strong this 2 footballers going in their career. Im lucky to witness their era from the start and hope to the finish but we all know once a legends will always be legends.

    The funny thing is that I've always been a fan of Messi's and in the early years, I would always put CR7 down. But in more recent years, as both these mega footballers have matured and developed a mutually respectful and more amicable relationship, I find myself defending CR7 whenever the media, pundits, journalists or his detractors criticise him. Thing is I'm starting to see Ronaldo also as a human being, just one who pushes himself relentlessly to excellence and we should respect that. All that despite Messi still remaining my no. 1.

    Yup, before Ronaldo and Messi there wasn't a single player that kept up such a level of consistency. They've been doing it now since the 2000s, that's insane.
    I remember watching Real Madrid in the era of Brazilian Ronaldo, Zidane, Figo, Roberto Carlos etc. and people were always questioning if they were hungry enough. People often said that a player was ''done'' because they had won the CL once, won their league a few times and also had won a World Cup for example. With Messi and Ronaldo they just always kept going. They both still want to win the CL. They both want to win a World Cup, even if its extremely difficult with their teams.

Ronaldo, unlike you I assume, lived here for years, and almost certainly would have experienced toxic English fans several times, but he still refers to others as 'polite'. Maybe that should tell you something.
      The reason it bothers me as I'm an English fan and I resent being lumped in with a minority of idiots. When you find yourself judging an entire group based on the actions of a few you will usually be in the wrong. You think all other European fans are saints? Remember it's all what media and social media is showing you.
      We have problems with hooligans and particularly with alcohol culture, but I guarantee you know nothing about the scope and reason for these problems based on a few viral videos you've seen online.
