Continuing the central Oregon trip from our last video, we now head to the eastern side of Oregon visiting Hells canyon and the snake river. The hells canyon which borders between eastern Oregon and western Idaho, is separated by the snake river. This canyon is north America's deepest canyon, even deeper than the Grand canyon. The snake river cutting through these rocks and mountains runs for approx. 1000 miles before ending up here. Our first stop was at the Hells canyon overlook, which comes on the Oregon side. While the drive may take up some time, the views from the top are mesmerizing. After a quick break, we decided to go down the river. We took the ~18 mile drive after entering Idaho to the Hells canyon creek visitor center. This drive offers some of the most breathtaking views of the canyon and is definitely a "don't miss". The road to the visitor center crosses a dam. For adventure seekers, the "Hells canyon tours & adventurers" offer boat/jet rids on the snake river. Please book your tickets well in advance before visiting or you will regret later, just like us. There are plenty of place where you can go down to the river and wet your feet, or swim and just hang out. This is a totally amazing and out of the world place and we would highly recommend visiting it.
