@ 4:28 mine had been losing coolant really slowly over the past few years. I asked you about this in a vid you did a while back and you said the exact same thing as you did now. Took a screenshot of the clip and took it in for servicing today, showed them the picture and boom! It was exactly that! Cheers man, it was low key stressing me out loads haha. You absolute legend!

Nice review mate. I went from a Mk3 Clio 200 to Mk3 Meg 275 cup-s. Seriously debated mk4 Clio 220 trophy, haven't driven one but still really intrigued.

I own a 182 FF and a 200EDC and Iv never really clicked with it even after over a year of ownership , the spec on my 182 is better having xenon lights yet it’s 9 years older than the 200 , I hate the boaty feel of the 200 edc and comparing them in gear there is not a lot in them.
Only good thing for me with the 200 edc is that it has rear doors and half decent fuel economy with cheap tax and cheap to buy for a low milage auto.
I’d love to try the newer 220 to see if they are that much better than the 200.
Only faults Iv had with the 200 what could be mentioned in the video is the wiper linkage snapping and the anti roll bar bushes making lots of noise over bumps when it’s cold.
Ahhh man thatd a bummer! I loved my 172... Was full cup so was VERY bare. And i absolutely get what you're saying about the 200, apparently the trophy is exactly what the 200 should have been from the start. Are you local? Come take the trophy for a rip!

I’m from Barnsley/Sheffield , but yeah would be good to have a comparison with the 220, Iv been in Ryan’s mapped LY 200 with a few other mods on but like I say Iv never clicked with mine , hopefully the 220 is everything that’s missing on the 200
@@brett1048 yeah man absolutely. The trophy is 'take 2' on the mk4 clio i feel. I understand the modern clio isn't for everyone, but once you start messing with them they unlock potential

I got it off a guy on Facebook mate. He 3d prints them. Search for the group 'clio mk4 rs 200/220 edc/gt' and drop a message in there. Someone will tag him in it 👌

HI, awsome car! but comes the EDC with wet or dry clutches? and how do you experience the EDC overall? i heard that the EDC has a delay when shifting your self and that sometimes the EDC gets confussed and dont shift or gets stuck in gear and then you have to floor it to 6th before it acts all normal again.
Thanks alot! She was a little beast... The edc as far as i'm aware is dry on these, as for the shifting you can probably hear through numerous of my videos that its pretty quick, faster than an R35 to be precise. I had no issues with my clutch and box and was running 264bhp no worries. The trophy was basically everything the 200T didn't get right, and altogether a much more serious and dialed in car from the box. P.s i haven't heard of anyone that experienced the 'stuck in gear' issue, sounds like a faulty box all together
I get you guys in your little hot hatchbacks always giving me a hard time as I'm driving to and from work, why I wonder would a clio or fiesta etc think of giving a m140i a hard time....what's the point of that.
Fine your young and want to drive fast I remember doing that myself but really I'm not a kid any longer and I've no interest in wrapping my BMW around a tree....been there done that
An m140i would SLAP my clio in a straight line mate no questions haha. Depends if you like to go fast in a line or round corners, thats what these hot hatches were made for, using all their power, absolutely everywhere. Obviously if you drive like a knob for sure you'll come into trouble at some point, its only a matter of time. Funnily enough i am looking at M140's and Mk 4 megane trophy as my potential next ride
@@VersionOneUK my opinion go for the Megane for usable standard power. The m140i has too much power for RWD hatchback although it is massively tunable and can be modified in a big way.
Don't get me wrong as I said before I was young once and loved driving fast but now I drive something that's this powerful I simply don't see the point
@@markrhoden68 absolutely, the meg is a fantastic car! Don't get me wrong i don't expect miracles from the clio, 265bhp and 365nm's is plenty and pulling anymore power will cost alot gor not that much gain, especially when you can map say a mk3 megane to 320bhp easily. I've loved tinkering with cars since an early age and going for a rip and to meets is great fun. Don't get me wrong i don't drive like a dick, i understand the consequences and danger.
What car do u think I should get next dsg polo gti 1.8t or Clio 1.6t?
Thats a tough one mate... From what i've heard the polo's are great cars, and you get the dsg experience too. Unsure of how they compete price wise too, you could probably get a top spec trophy for 13k. So maybe see how much polo you can get for that money. You'll definitely want the trophy over the 200 too. Try get a test drive in them both and see how they feel!

@@VersionOneUK was looking at a polo dsg 1.8 petrol m8 and they are pricey as fuck dude, way more expensive than a clio trophy, but all vw are expensive tbh, skoda and seat are also good value too, thinking about a trophy as my next future car but very skeptical over the whole French cars are crap, what's your honest opinion been French? Never owned a French car so would like more info thank u buddy!
@@jamie1992ful i think in most case mate, people that rinse french cars have never had one, or had literally ONE and its been a dog. I've had a 106 gti, clio 172 cup and now the mk4 trophy. Sure its not German quality interior wise but you do get alot for your money. All the french cars i've had, have had so much character. In completely different ways... Mapping the trophy unlocks so much hidden potential. Where are you based?
@@VersionOneUK thanks for the reply buddy, I am in Staffordshire, Tamworth, I have a 1.6 diesel auto astra stage 1 map atm with 165hp, not a massive fan of diesels because of the horrid engine noise they make in general, apart from that it's a nice quick car, not powerful in any means but pulls like a truck when needed, I understand obviously its not German quality with the clio but it looks like a little bit of fun that is also quick, do u know if they still produce them from new? Thanks for the reply though!

Isit common for rs200 to come with leather seats ?
There are 3 versions of seats as far as i'm aware... Cloth, leather, and a wing back seat, found only in the phase 1

@@VersionOneUK yeah I am also thinking about getting one but here in South Africa they're a lot of 200 cups and I heard in your video that the trophy is better, should I be worried if I would get the cup?
@@tsentlebontleinteriorandpr2134 no mate, you haven't got to worry. But if you want the best 'out the box' experience the trophy is the way to go.
