Before dyt, when something didn’t look right I would say, “I don’t look good in this.” Now I say, “That does not look good on me!” The difference is subtle, but POWERFUL! It is no longer my fault that some things don’t look good on me!

Carol, your messages to help people accept and love themselves is such a blessing! I wish that I had known about you decades ago. My 3-year old daughter (also a type 1) will be raised with loving words and messages. She will always be a shining princess :) Thank you for all that you do!

Haha! Yes, I am getting started with my type 1 wardrobe after thinking I was type 4. I had about 30 items in my cart because I wanted to try all of the possibilities!! I am so thankful that DYT makes shopping easier and more enjoyable! I am also making some progress on moving away from the shame-based thoughts!!

Hahaha, I absolutely relate to Marcy's point about having a huge pile into the dressing room, and the limited number in the dressing room is so restricting!

I haven’t been to a dressing room since coming to dress my truth. I do think that it’s going to be a lot easier because one of my biggest “problems” has always been a decision… Not having really any thing to measure whether something works for me or not except well I think it fits and looks OK and is a good color... Now my choices are going to be much more empowered and empowering. I look forward to that! :-)

About neon. I've gotten the "verdict" my face features have much of type 4 in them - but have been told earlier, when I had some neon green blouse on, that I looked ghastly in it. And I agree, I really did. Now I see the 4 in this color and she looks amazing. All this make me doubt I should really be a 4. People who judged my face lines at 4-ish might not be experts, I think. Actually the color schemes I look best in are 2 and 3. Some 1s too, actually, though not too tinted. Marcy has not looked better. She glows in her white top and her skirt looks amazing both color and patternwise, flowing playfully. If I could choose here, would pick type 3, Anna K's outfit to wear for myself: exactly what I'm drawn to.

I so needed this. I’ve been working on just saying “thank you” when I’m given a compliment. Why is that so hard? Because I had fallen into the trap of self condemnation. I’ve changed my appearance due to DYT so now I need to reframe my thinking. I get so many compliments now- they were few and farrrrrr between before so I didn’t know how to react. Just say thank you and let the compliment resonate a bit.
    Thank you Carol ❤️

Charlene I too had to start saying yes to compliments about 20 years ago. I really couldn't accept them. Support is so important.
I'm still learning. This was a great video. I'm in my 60s and older than most. The online course said I'm s type 1 and I rejected it immediately & took me time to see some qualities but I don't like flowery clothes lol. I like pure colors but in the behavior I match some, am animated, laugh was always thought to be younger than am. In clothing I liked type 4 and love black as color & silver jewelry. I was drawn to pictures & images in the video.
I do like type 1 flowy skirts. I don't like trying clothes on in dressing rooms at all but I do it sometimes not to have to return things. I do like to make people happy & I gift a lot or give to charity rather than consignment as type 3. .but I see v shapes in my hairline, and face and nose though bit round in cheeks, I have angles in brows. I have strong jaw to chin. So physically I see t3. I have texture & veins in hands as type 3; my fingers are long and same size top as bottom and straight lines, my nails are oblong or rectangular.
So I'm not sure am type 1 😍 So reviewing all the videos and rereading books.

I can’t relate to 4 at all in this or the ideas and planning series. Wondering if my secondary is type 3 instead! I’ll focus on living as my true oneness for now though. Engaging sensible with intention. Shopping is such a faff! I get excited for the options but then after one or two stores I’m done and want to just go and eat.

I think I’m a type 3. But tell me do type 3’s try on clothes in front of mirrors outside the dressing rooms, like a jacket or cardigan, or just hold it up to a mirror and see if it looks good or works. I often times will avoid dressing rooms if I love the colors and design and know it will look awesome. I’m very decisive. But then if I’m not sure and it’s say pricey, I will grudgingly go try it on. Don’t like to spend too much time shopping. In and out!
